Bad ass truck until the new V6. I saw a new one yesterday and liked it until I heard him gun it. Sounded like a car in fast and the furious Tokyo drift. It was horrible! Why dump the big engine for That? There’s a reason why people buy the truck and that new v6 is not one of them.

They could put an inline 4 in there and it would be awesome just because it has the name Raptor. As long as the tailgate lowers automatically and they cram more electronic crap in there...

    This thread is pretty hilarious.

Man, has it made the rounds....

The Tundra is a great all around truck. You can beat it every day and feel pretty good about it. Lord knows I did. It’s final resting place is in ND on a hunting property somewhere.
If and when I buy another Tundra, a few things it has to have:
    -white, fastest color.
    -platinum or 1794 trim.
I like comfort, and I enjoy tech. It’s pretty flippen nice. If someone says they don’t like tech, give your flatscreen, smartphone, laptop, PC to Goodwill. Not one flippen person will do that. Trust me.

Ford EB do really well out in the dry climates. My FIL has one that has past 100k now. Been very reliable, and he doesn’t do maintenance for shit. To date, he has never in his 72 years replaced transmission, transfer case, or differencial fluids once. He clowns me for doing regular maintenance on my drivetrain. I use my truck differently though.
When the EB gets into dew point conditions, and under acceleration, this can be an issue for the motor. My FIL has experienced this once driving in the southern part of the country.
Raptors just give me a waistband boner. So many cool things that is offered if your willing to put up the money for the 802a package. The 801a Raptor is still pretty fucking cool at TRD Pro pricing. So I don’t see an argument there. I have driven my buddies a few times, and been inside the truck while blazing over dessert terrain. So. Much. Fun.
The Raptor just doesn’t fit my needs, nor does the Tundra...or any half ton for that matter. If we are being honest, a 3/4 doesn’t fit the bill either.

Next we should compare my Duramax against the Raptor. There is just no comparison. The Raptor can’t tow shit and my 1 ton is no off-road monster.

We buy the vehicles we own for a plethora of reasons. Maybe we should just respect the decisions people make and move on with our lives.

If I had unlimited money I would buy a loaded Raptor and run it. I think they look bad ass. But, I’m just a working stiff and have to watch my pennies and I’ve always run Toyota’s without issue so the Tundra is a good fit for me.
I also think the newer F-250s look pretty damn good.

I don't own one but the only time I've driven one was in Baja. So all my Raptor driving is in Baja, which is more than most owners have. lol

If I'm buying an off the showroom fancy off-road truck it's going to say RAM, and Power Wagon on it somewhere.
Honestly, though I'm very happy with my 2010 Rock Warrior. My next truck, however, will have a turbo and will burn diesel, which means there's also a good chance it'll have a solid front axle.

Good setup. You have the Tundra in position to pull the POS out to the street for the tow truck in the morning when it doesn’t start.

As I’m driving my ugly interior truck, I’ll turn my Uber app on for you so you can get a ride home from the dealership for the week while they try and figure out why your turn signal runs the A/C in your truck.
