I am at a loss myself. Cant wrap my head around it, but at this point short of civil court I do not have a recourse or voice. Its frustrating as can be. I had to take a break so I went and mowed and picked up the yard from a storm e had a couple days ago. Just to get my mind clear some, and a few beers probably helped, of course now I have not so straight mowing lines, LOL.

Anyway it sucks no it flat out stinks, and I hope hey get what they have coming to them one day. Sooner or later they will do the wromg person wrong, and they will be judged.

All I can do is move on, know that I am the better person, and live my life.

I figured this would happen Rich.

Civil court is where it should go down. Hit them where it hurts the most. With the minor, he has parents. Sue their asses. I seen some parents go into bankruptcy over what their snot nose kids did.

The world goes around the ol’ mighty dollar.

Wish I could, but the minor is no longer in the state of Oklahoma, and they have no intention of bringing him back.

The other two have no jobs, live off her adopted mom since he was kicked out of his adopted parents house. Yet they can take a two week vaca to myrtle beach, enjoy smart phones and breed, yes she is now pregnant with his kid, and already wearing a moo moo to cover her planet sized ass.

So they enjoy a life of sleeping all day, casinos and parties all night, living off her 70 year old mother, dealing drugs since scales and baggies were found in their car the day this all went down, so I presume that's how they get money as well as welfare, food stamps etc...

The whole damn thing makes me sick.

    I don’t think so...

Pretty sure they don’t own a home, Tundra, obviously no money, no future but jail. Sooner than later, they will break into the wrong home and take a few slugs.

    Wanna hear some bullshit?

One of my friends in CA had a thief break into his home, had his property in hand, drew and fired a weapon at the rather large German Shepherd that tore his ass up. He sued my friend and won. I guess he let the dog tear into him excessively. 15000.00 was awarded to him for excessive force.

I left CA six months later in 97’. Only returned twice since.

    Yep.

Kinda like if you put 20 slugs into someone. Bet your ass there will be a civil suit and pretty sure winning a criminal case would be out the door.

I love how a burglar isnt supposed to fear for his life while breaking into someones house while being armed.

Its like hes just going to work and who are we to interfere.

CA can keep that law for themselves. And what kinda state bans straws?

    Two stories:

    1. I grew up in Texas. My Uncle owned a collision repair shop and had some problems with kids from the wrong part of town throwing rocks out into his parkinglot full of freshly painted cars. It went on for a while, but the police said there was nothing they could do because the kids were too young and the parents had no money anyway.

My cousin was place on the roof of the shop with a BB gun. It only took 1 day of poppin' every kid that picked up a rock next to the shop and they never had that problem again.

    2. When I got my CCL here in Massachusetts I had to take a safety course. The instructor said you can't protect property with force here. To illustrate he said a guy caught a meth-head stealing his tools out of his work truck so he gave him a good ol' fashion beat down to stop him. The meth-head got nothing. The property owner went to prison for 15 years. Does that sound like a sane practice to maintain a civil society with to anyone?

This shit is typical here in Canada. Crime really does pay here. Hell, the gov handed $10.5 million to a convicted terrorist. But I'll leave that there.

Anyways, I have a few cops as friends/family. They've worked way up north, up in the Territories. I've heard of a few situations where the vicitim got screwed by the system and a few months later the perp's chimney backed up and their home tragically burnt to the ground. Villages of 100 - 200 people. Since word gets around, no one was willing to take the scumbags in or drive/fly them into the nearest place with a hotel so the the RCMP had to do it. Dumped em off in the first hotel they came across, paid for one night and left them there.

Can't say they were ever a problem again....

Rich, it’s the same here on the east coast. Sad to say you were probably better off shooting the guys dead breaking into your home. The law suits that criminals file against law abiding citizens is horse pucky. All because these criminal defense lawyers are sometimes worse then the criminals themselves.

I was told by a close friend of mine while he was serving in Desert Storm, that the Saudi’s have a unique justice system. They built this tower and anyone that committed murder is given the choice to jump off or shoved off. If your caught stealing they don’t have an issue of cutting off your hand. I think most Americans would be appalled at such acts of barbarism. But thinking where our society as a whole is heading too. Maybe doing something like this here wouldn’t be a bad idea. At least criminals would start thinking twice about their actions.

Hmmm, is that covered under homeowner's insurance??

And in california, the jurors are bad enough to give money to the family, but some smart enuf to only give $20 cuz they often find that the deceased caused his own death for committing the crime...

Umbrella policies. They differ, but you might look into them. Good stuff.

Yeah, i havent done a civil case in ages here but i think the jury has to make their money award accordingly if the death was contributed by the deceased, i.e.: he died because he was commiting a crime, so then the award is minimal, yet you the homeowner could go bankrupt from atty fees and court costs if insurance doesnt pick it up...
