If you have the standard SR5 honeycomb grill, then you won't need the shim and adapter setup that I offer to be able to mount a camera. Instead, you can directly bolt the camera using this plate (you will still need to source an oversized washer to mate up behind the grill).

Hi just wonder what is the difference in V2 to carling switch is it just the material? I have a 2015 limited if that matters? I just want it to look color matched basically which would be the original V2 i am guessing?
Also i have the older gen trd pro grill would that camera shim work?
Where did you buy the front camera? from trdgridpro?

1. The difference between RMF-001 and RMF-001C is the style of switch that can be mounted. Both are made from the same material and finished with the same SEM Trim Black paint that will tie in well with the factory black trim. You can also paint them any color you like if you want to do something special.
   • RMF-001 is used to mount Toyota OEM “small rectangle” sized switches - like all of the switches currently in your truck (including the rear window switch).
   • RMF-001C is used to mounting “Carling” style / size switches, which have long been a standard in various industries from off-road to marine.
2. The RMF-002 shim is specifically for use with the 19-21 TRD Pro “honeycomb” grill and the YotaLED bracket (sold separately) for that grill. The 15-17 TRD Pro grill is shaped differently, and does not have the same profile. I’m not entirely sure what people have done for mounting cameras with that grill, but I am sure there are threads here on the forum that will have that info (might start with the FRAC harness thread).

4. Depending on what else you are swapping out, you’ll also need some sort of camera switching switch/harness - either using an aftermarket head unit or something like the FRAC Harness for the factory head unit.

Casey, These are great and the fit and finish look factory! I alway seem to have things drop on the switch panel area under the arm rest and wondering if you could almost have a ribbed version or a guard of some sort so if say my dog's feet step there, the switches don't all turn on...similar to what I threw in on my 4th Gen 4runner:

 

Interesting - so basically extending the overall height of the unit above the top surface (or recessing the switches down into it deeper) to create a recess for each switch.
There are a few challenges in doing that and trying to keep the textured face if also trying to make something more "contoured" or aesthetic about how the recesses are formed. Not sure when I'll have time, but I could play around with a few ideas.
