I'm well aware of how it works but 600whp with an open differential is hilarious.

Oh yes I agree, absolute pain in the ass. Even with a proper LSD it's hopeless to launch in 2wd, you just have access to 70% throttle vs 30% throttle with the stock diff:rofl:

It can all be done, how much money do you want to spend? I love Toyota's and the 2.5 gen Tundra, so even though it would cost me a lot less money to get a TRX, I would never do it.

I'm not familiar with the Harrop pulley. What psi you pushing with those mods?

It sounds like you're pretty well setup to run good numbers.

The only thing I didn't see in your list is the fuel pump but I'm sure they did that with the fuel lines.

They should have dyno numbers from when they did the tune too I think.

Fuel pump is part of the ProSpeed Fuel System that I have. Although I may change the fuel pump out with a different one. Never been on a dyno so no clue where my numbers are currently.

The one they use should be more than enough. I believe it's the same one I have, the 450.

You opt for stage 2? If so is the maintenance or upkeep anything special (like watching AFRs like a hawk)

No, I’m in for a Stage 3 and some other work. Stage 3 is Stage 2 plus the ProSpeed intake and the Lexus RC throttle body. I opted out of headers for now; in my situation they are not worth it. Eyeballing the IPT valve body. Still not convinced on the wideband; risky yes.

I've had IPT's Valve Body and Shift Kit in my 2010 for several years. No other performance mods except Keith's 14' BA Exhaust. John Lombardo at IPT was great to deal with. He patiently answered all my goofy questions without complaint!:D

Another dumb question, how fast do you have to be going to pin it without the ass end breaking loose?

Got it, so if I went stage 3 and pinned it at 35mph or so, I won't look like one of those mustangs coming out of a cars and coffee.

    No

    you will

if you are not straight. You’re screwed

I can skooch out the back end at any speed if I’m turning and punch it

    it’s a hoot

On my way to work I have a nice straight away before my on ramp

once I get straight I tend to punch it. Never broke loose

stage 3 on the other hand. May be a challenge

4hi is your only means of really hooking up from a dig

And. these stock Bridgestones are not exactly drag slicks

I usually only break traction on hard corner turns or wet ground, but I'm also running Michelin AT tires. Not so much with the nannies on but still possible. I also have a minimum of ~400lbs over the bed (tonneau + decked)

I'm getting the PowerTrax LSD to partially remedy this situation.

I run 33 inch K02s, but they don't grip well even newish in wet. The only weight I carry is a diamondback bed cover.

Thanks for sharing your builders website. 13k and a trip to Ric for a full build seems more my speed than trying to figure out necessary components, tuner, and installer myself.

No worries. They treated me well and their shop is amazing if they can give you a tour. They had several cool projects and a wide variety of work, from mechanical to electrical. Super clean and tiddy shop too.

If you sign up to their email list they send out notifications every so often. They were just running a discount on Harrops and Maggies back in March; this last round was about 1K off but their labor jumped up a bit to match the economy. The biggest discount I've seen was 15% off the Whipple at the end of the year, looks like they may no longer offer packaged Whipples. Seeing how some vendor prices jumped it may not be worth waiting for the next deal, hard to gauge what is the best approach. You can also have them send you a work order estimate if you include any add ons like an LSD or tranny cooler.

they are pussy cats when you are not in the pedal

    they behave like regular tundras

get into the pedal and it all changes

Yep. Driving mine totally normal it just feels like it always did. Til it's time to press the throttle. Then she goes.

Now to add the RCF Throttle Body to mine which I guess will bring my to what they call a "Stage 3".

Yes that kind of work is within their wheelhouse. They are familiar with the Genuine Cooling System kit too.

They have a Stage 4 offering which is up to +275 HP and runs on E85. Total they are saying Up to 630-655HP or up to 275 over stock. This is the HTML dump of that package.

This jives with my experience too. Lady in the streets until you dig into the throttle. Kind of scary a big heavy truck can scoot. An upgraded brakes kit is next.
