So I brought it to the dealer today. The tech said it is cam chain tensioner noise from lack of lubrication. Despite the fact I video’d it, they will not cover unless they are able to replicate it. They are keeping it over night, but I doubt it will make the noise because historically it has taken 4 days or longer of sitting.

2016 5.7 117k miles. Yes mine does, real bad clatter until I see the temp gauge rise roughly 1/4 of the way to the middle. Only does it on overnight start and worse when it’s cold out. Going to have it checked out next week, probably nothing crazy. Had a 4.6 2004 sequoia w/ 280k with the same sound and was told I needed new cats.

My 2014 does it. Switching to 5w-30 this week hoping it helps.

My wife's 2013 Corolla did this and it turns out one of the bolts holding up the heat shield between the exhaust and the floor of the car fell out.

It is rare, and it only lasts a quarter of a second or so, but if my truck has been sitting for at least 2-3 days it might happen. It's also very mild. If I weren't so sensitive to ANYTHING feeling/sounding different in my truck I would probably not even notice it. My wife doesn't notice it even when I ask if she heard it.

Changed the oil on my 2014 with 125k miles to 5w-30 Amsoil signature series hoping the noise would go away. It's still there so not sure what to do next. possibly live with it or take it in and have the tensioner replaced if that'll solve it. Not sure what the cost on the job would be
