I just googled plastidip bumpers and you'll get all sorts of videos and perspectives. For wheels a lot of people recommended brake cleaner because it will remove any impurities and allow the plastidip to stick on properly.

I Plasti dipped mine a couple months back. A few years ago I did a lot of plastic dip on badges, wheels, etc on my car. Looked great new but faded over time. I said I wouldn't do it again.

However the problem I had was I was trying to make Plasti dip look like paint. That's not the case here for the bumper. On the front its almost a perfect match to the plastic in the front. I was very happy with it. Really improves the look of the rear bumper also.

Did you remove any of the plastic to get more adhesion under where the plastic sits or did you just tape and run it up to the plastics? I ask because it seems like the plastidip might start to peel back if it doesn't have a lip to wrap around.

I just taped and started spraying. In the gap at the top of the bumper caps, I sprayed into the gap as far as I could. Between the bumper caps and the front plastic bumper there wasn't much of a gap but it's been holding up. Ideally taking the bumper caps off would work out a little better, but it's been holding up fine over the past few months.

I just taped as well. Any sections that i saw that were lightly sprayed or visible chrome..i just spot sprayed a few more times. Actually thought about take a small water color type brush to it with some plastidip sprayed into a cup.
