so, somehow, i pulled a stupid in moscow and loaded 3 out of 4 rolls backwards. :frusty: :censored: :angrygirl:

so, so, so bummed. i had some great street scenes on the 3 rolls that i blew. silver lining, i'll be headed back in a week. anyway, i just got the scans back from the surviving roll. thought about putting them into my moscow thread but there's no story with these, except whatever you make in your head, so i'm putting them here.

shot on ilford hp5, hasselblad 500cm with 80mm lens. film still rules and the image quality from this camera is like nothing else. medium format helps quite a bit as there is a feeling and depth you do not get with 35mm.

Very interesting. I like the giant turnbuckles used to suspend the roadway in the pic featured here.
Good job ~ looking forward to the next installment.

Wild Animal Park (WAP) certainly rolls off the tongue lots easier for me as well.
Recently the name was changed and I always have to stop and think before I can come up with the current nomenclature . . .

so, yesterday, @drobb got me motivated to dig through the archives for some old surf stuff. i put a few images in the photo of the day thread but decided to bring a few more over here.

i'm an adrenaline junkie and the surf photography had been a great fix for that. much to my wife's dismay, i've always had a propensity for putting myself and my cameras into high risk situations. these are from a big high tide back wash day. there was something about how the water moved that made me want to be there in the middle of it. sizable surf, shallow water, lots of rocks and too much fun.

@smslavin.... What year were the large swell pics? I grew up in the OB/ Sunset Cliffs area.... you could stand on the cliffs and feel the surf when it was really big. Great pics!!!!
