You know i love you guys considering ive spent better part of 10 grand in the last year on BD and camburg stuff..... i have a suggestion for bumpers.... a long travel aka wider version of your tube bumper for the front with a winch. I called and asked about one being custom made and you said a year... that sucks but totally understand.. For the LT guys or MT guys with front fenders we need a wider bumper to match the lines, i love your bumper but it wont work for me or those like me. Plus if you ditch the lower valance on the 07-14 models you have to raise the top bar on the bumper to fill that space. Anyway good on you guys for taking care of customers when other companies dont.

Most people don't ditch the valance below the grille because of cosmetic appearance. As far as width, I am not sure how much farther out you are wanting it. It covers pretty much most of the front and lower portion of the flares. This is our old Tundra with +2" flare glass.

Hmmmmm well i dont have a valance, never had one (truck had a bumper that didnt require it when i bought it that way).. plus truck is custom wrapped. So not really an option, now that being said if i mounted my 40" BD high power there it would fill that space. DO you happen to have any pics of a 07-14 without a valance with the bumper mounted on?

I commend you guys for doing this. Alot of companies would have just said "Oh Well" and left it for the BK courts to decide. I hope that after the dust settles on this, people get to recover some of what they lost. Great job SDHQ!

Hey joey id still very much consider a sdhq bumper with winch mount and some skids, would probably be cheaper than getting a custom setup , ive got to get rid of my shit built homemade bumper. just makes the awesome truck look shitty

everyone should be listed, its required as BK filing mandates you list everyone you owe money to, it's called listing of debtors, and then you all have an opportunity to go the meeting of the debtor's portion of the case and argue your case against them.

Oh that’s good to hear then. I’m not a lawyer but know the BK process from personal experience ... and I helped my ex wife through law school ... had to file Bk after divorce... talk about a rough two years!

Yep. Quite sturdy, decent welds, very nice beefy winch plate/mount, but real crappy fitment and my 3 year old grandson could do the powder coating a heck of a lot better. KO and OE sells DV8 bumpers on Ebay. Drop shipped directly from DV8.

Have you guys considered asking for their patents and proprietary information on the bumpers? Not sure if this can be done or not but it’s an idea. Then you would have the design and all the R&D to send to other manufacturers. You could offer the first initial runs be sold close to your cost to all the people who got burned by Pelfreybilt. Just a thought.

All of our products are in house built, we don't out source anything. Legally, they cannot do anything as far as selling designs, patents, etc due to monetary reasons and the bankruptcy. We will never buy another companies design though, if we are going to build something, we want it to be our style, flare, quality, etc. Nothing against their product but just not how we roll.

No worries. Just an idea. I respect that you guys like to have your own ideas and keep them in house. I commend you for that.

I’ve read up a little on this sort of matter and someone could possibly win their patent rights in bankruptcy court if they wanted to pursue it. Pending if there is a 363 motion filed or not.

Yes but who whoever owns the patents holds the proprietary information to keep making them. It may not be a simple process but I was just brain storming ideas.

There are no patents. Just design files. Lasernut did the cut, bend and weld on their bumpers, just as they do our under seat storage boxes. Pelfrey wouuld add the tubes and do the powder coating. Just like us, we have the boxes powder coated and we assemble and package them. Since it is mostly just me at our shop, I don't have the ability to cut and fab in house. They do parts for a lot of the companies out there.

What IF some 1 calls lasernut and ask if they might have any bumpers or sliders made that pelfreybilt didnt pay for? Maybe they will sale them to us?
