So they took preorders, didnt tell customers they had financial troubles then came out with the recent statements & never refunded all the preorders? What happened to all the preorder money? Liquidated in attempt to revive their biz? Is there a class action suit against them?

I didn’t think much about the Tundra being sold per se, but the way they worded the for sale ad was kind of weird. “Needing to free up capital for other projects” on a 60k truck?

 

This really sucks for the effected customers and vendors, it's a shame to see.
Guess I'll have to make the Group 31 tray myself now... Their stuff was nice.

 

Just looked up the owner of the company who screwed me and many over in my city...Appears he has now started his own investments company and appears to be living the good life traveling over US and Canada, hunting, fishing and in a luxury vehicle all while having a shit eating grin. And the business only closed down less than half a year go. MFer... Gave the same type of sob story that Pelfreybilt gave. These stories are usually copy and paste imo. WTF...he said he would lose everything...EVERYTHING. Bullshit. This is why i never feel good about spending my money with a companies and corporations who have the latest and greatest everything.

 

Fuck, seriously!? The name is totally living up to it’s definition. That’s shit - that means they know what they’re doing.

 

As much as I would think people of that nature would ruin my day, I smile knowing God has a special place for inconsiderate assholes of that type

Based on treating our employees well, building a stellar product, sourcing the best materials and fab work, and 2nd to none customer service? It would take years to build equity in the company - but we could make it work. We could name it “Anti-Pelf” with the company slogan “you WILL get what you pay for”


No stupid weird designs either. Low-pro, slimline, badass lines. Basically the complete opposite of Road-Armor

I have all the stupid bookwork business weird shit figured out in WA and OR (Labor, insurance, etc). Also have a book of business (discounted) with nearly every shipping company in the US. And brokers and freight forwarders if we need to source materials from out of state. And warehousing for storage.

I held off on commenting on TW because its usually a shit show there. Sucks for the guys that put money in and got nothing, hope returns are inbound.
I only bought a couple items from them years ago for the Taco and they had the best customer service. Ended up having to do some rework and required new shock tabs. They sent me a new set free! All the way up here. I was extremely happy.

Its hard to imagine after all the work they put in that this would be the end result.

This whole thing has me speechless and a bit deflated. I was so stoked to have their sliders and was actively saving for their bumpers. If anyone has Gen 3 Pelfreybilt bumpers they were thinking of burning in their skottle in protest, I'm WTB.

 

They should've named their company Pilferbilk.

Unfortunately, we do not. We had a few Tundra bumpers around 2014-2015 but they just didn't move, so we discontinued them. But they were tube style, not plate. If it is something that we revisited, it honestly would be more than a year out with our current production and R&D schedule. We are having trouble keeping Tundra sliders on the shelf while running batches of 30 sets every 14 weeks (A good problem to have and we appreciate all the support that you guys continue to give us!). While we understand we aren't the cheapest, our quality speaks for itself. We do have issues every blue moon (we are only human), we do our best to fix and right stuff immediately. But you guys can always count us to be here. Even with the Pelfrey incident, its unfortunate that we are out all the money that we had to pay for in full but how could we take our customers money at the same time. It was a hard bullet to swallow but its something we decided to do for our customers.
