Soon ! nothing but cold air I'm going to start but researching everything before hand so I dont waste money on go fast parts that dont do nothing but make you spend money so reading everything that I can and making a priority list and a looks cool list
Bank's products are awesome this guy such a thorough explanation and all of his products are all the same they've done the research I'm all the other companies and then make one that's better than all and he's always concerned about safety you can't really go wrong with his products does a differential cover episode about those aluminum covers that go on the back of the differential on some vehicles that is well worth the watch it's a long video it's worth watching

My truck went into limp mode multiple times with my pedal commander - once when making a left turn across an intersection. Threw codes and I cleared them. But the problem persisted. I didn’t even recall having the pedal commander installed and was wondering what was wrong with my truck. I scanned it and came back with a couple codes - one related to accelerator module. It jogged my memory and I removed the pedal commander. Never had a problem after removing it. I now have a banks pedal monster for the last 6 months or so and haven’t had one issue. I won’t ever go back to pedal commander. And don’t recommend them for this reason. It’s a known issue

I had a pedal commander on my R/T challenger and it seemed cool at first but I eventually stopped using it. Its the equivalent of taping a block to the gas pedal - you push down 20% and the pedal goes down 40%. Pedal commander does the same thing.

anyone who leaves pedal commander or even a scan gauge plugged into the OBDII all the time is an idiot and i don’t care what the maker’s of those devices say.

The OBDII is not designed to have electronics plugged in at all times, it’s for scan tools when being serviced, that’s it.

I picture Pedal commander target audience as total douchebags who drive with their tires poking out 4” from the fender with skinny tires around their massive rims.

Pedal Commanders aren't plugged into the OBD port, so there's that.

My truck had 4k mi on it when I got it,...a month ago? and already had a pedal commander installed. I was going to take it out, but then kinda liked the idea of pushing a button and getting what felt like double the throttle response.
Now you're telling me this thing might try to kill me??
So, are these things usually faulty right away? Is it taking 2 years to take a shit and throw accelerator codes? mixed bag?

ha! The throttle lag on Toyotas is real - this tundra and my previous 4runner were awful that way. My manual Camry se and my wife’s hybrid rav4 don’t have that issue. I put a sprint booster on the 4runner with never any issues and had the pedal commander on the tundra until it started throwing codes and putting the truck into limp mode. The banks pedal monster cured the throttle lag and haven’t had any issues since installing it (uses a different way to increase throttle response).

Well, I haven't had any issues with the pedal commander that was already in my truck. Not sure when it was installed, but the truck had 4k mi and I've only put a little over 1k on it so far. I don't know what the failure rate is on the PC, if it's model/generation specific, if it's something that usually shows up after 2 yrs of using it, or it fails right away, etc,. but I'm going to pull mine out. I don't think it's worth taking a risk of it shitting out as I merge into 60+ mph traffic (because that's when it will happen). I don't really need gadgets like this, but if I decide I want one later, I'd rather have something designed like the Banks unit.

Mine was installed for a year and a half before i started having issues. They did an "over the air" update for me due to throttle surge which fixed that issue. But when I went into limp they denied any warranty or replacement because I was not the original purchaser. They admitted that there was a known issue - not sure how prevalent it is but quite a few have had similar issues if you do a search. I have had the banks unit and been very pleased with it. Easy to go back to stock and a much safer technology from what I was able to research. I can't stand the throttle lag and needed something to remediate that as this is my daily driver.

I like the peddle in my Tundra so I never considered the Peddle commander for it. I have a 2007 GMC that I was going to put a peddle commander on but after researching the product I found too many people with "Check engine lights" and other issues with it. I decided I would rather put up with the stock peddle functionality and not have a CEL on. After reading this thread it looks like a good decision.

Are you aware about the supposed pedal range re-learn fix?

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/throttle-body-cleaning-and-relearning-psa-how-to.121328/

Someone came and posted that on here, said it fixed their touchy pedal problems. I assume if it's valid, it would eliminate the need for these pedal tools.

In DBW systems, sure there has to be a way to initiate pedal relearn. If anything, I feel like I have pedal lag. I did the process I just linked a few weeks ago, and it doesn't feel as laggy, but who knows.
