That thing is awesome. Might have to get one of those. That would make it safe to take the baby to the gun range and possibly even hunting won't it?

Before I learned the "cry your baby to sleep" method, I used one of these baby carriers every night to put my first born to sleep.

I asked my dad what chewing tobacco tasted like when I was a kid, so he bought me some. He told me to take a huge pinch and then swallow it. To this day, the smell of any tobacco product makes me sick. Dick move, but he succeeded in preventing me from using tobacco.

He also told me to hold the butt of a 12 gauge 2 inches from my shoulder the first time I shot one when I was 10... maybe he was just a giant dick.

Some advise my Mom said many times growing up:

    - Love what you do
    - Love who you live with
    - Love where you live

Two out of three and life will be pretty good. Three out of three and life will be wonderful.

So my first is due 5 weeks from today. Having a boy. We already have the car seat. It's a Chicco Keyfit 30. I know the hospital requires the installation to be verified and they will also assist. Does anyone have a DC that uses this car seat? My plan is to put it behind the passenger seat. Should I use the belt or the LATCH method for the install? Any experience with which method is easier to install? They are both equally as safe from what I have been told.

I used the latch in my crewmax. It was as simple as latching it and pushing down on the base as we pulled the straps tight.

I don't recall what method I used. Is there a local FD near you? Many of them do installs for free- great piece of mind knowing it was done correctly and it may save your child's life.

My good buddy out here is a FF and does their car seat installs for his station...maybe he'll be at the Toytec event ..I can text @hoyal and ask

:woot: Congrats Justin! The latch is definitely easier to install and less likely to screw up. Make sure it's really tight. Just don't open up your car seat and install for the first time in front of the nurses releasing you. Only idiots do that... :anonymous:

I took the truck and my wife's SUV to the FD down the street to get them checked out. They were super nice and really appreciative that I actually took time to get them checked out. I guess not many actually do. They said the latch system is always preferred when possible.
