I can't wait to show you guys the latest stuff we have worked on.. but got to catch everyone up first.
    - Line pressure control for the transmission
    - disabling torque reduction when shifting

    lots of goodies.

A question asked that would be good to share here. There is no restriction on using map switching, how or when you can implement it. You don't have to stop the truck, or anything. Simply pressing the button does it right on the fly.

The way we have implemented this is that by pressing the button to switch to map 2 the ECU will perform the necessary branching statements in code on the fly that will update to the new tables.
These new tables' data will be read, calculated and put into RAM, replacing the old values in less than 10 milliseconds... the clock speed to cycles persecond is ...extremely fast so it will switch seamlessly.

Mat is going hard this morning, thank you! Just received the tune for my supercharged Tundra in time to head to the lake this afternoon and then really see how it does picking up a rock crawler to tow across Utah tomorrow. Stoked to have everything before my trip! Thank you again sir!

    2 quick questions:

    1. Is that sport shift great lock going to be the standard of you pick "gear locking" instead of tow button? (I like this option MUCH better)

    2. Curious what you're looking to do with 4low throttle, can you explain what/why?

Wow. This keeps gets getting better and better!! Hopefully the transmission tuning will eliminate the excessive "hang time" on Tow Haul Mode (91 Octane Tune). Sometimes it takes 2 seconds for the transmission to upshift from 3-4, 4-5. It just hangs on top of the rpm i.e. 2500 and the the truck is not accelerating anymore at this point. This is more noticeable on no-load or lightly loaded truck. Sometimes I would kinda let go of the pedal to make the tranny upshift quicker but it is a hit and miss. It's kinda like driving a stick for the first time.

Thanks for continuing to develop the tune for our Tundras. I started with 2007 RCSB in Feb 07 and now with 2010 Crewmax 4x4, 12 years later we are finally getting the tune that we just dreamed of back in the day.

Got the tune loaded and drove around the block and some pulls down the street. 93 octane tune for TRD Supercharger with upgraded pulley and gear lock enabled. First thing I noticed is the shifting is WAY smoother. Super quick and crisp, barely noticed it shifted versus the usual jolt and weird shit where it seems to hang at rpm for a second before engaging the next gear. The gear lock seems to work great. The throttle seems much more tame off of idle, as in it's not jumpy (the TRD tune/supercharger had actually cured some of this from the engine/ecu being 100% stock, but the OV tune noticeably improved on it). My AFRs under boost are still in the 9s, but I assume Mat will work with me to dial that in (the TRD tune did the same thing, so not like this is worse). Interestingly I also hit 6.7psi of boost, the highest I've ever hit before at this elevation was 5.8psi. My boost gauge is a little weird at measuring max boost, but one way or another it measured considerably higher first run with the OV tune than it ever measured with the TRD tune. The truck will go right up to the rev limiter if you manually gear lock it, so the gear lock is the real deal (found this out on accident...). Overall I am very very pleased that literally right out the door the truck is performing better and has an actual noticeable difference. The real test will be towing for 300 miles tomorrow, but the gear lock alone will make that a much nicer experience.

This is the first tune that I've ever gotten (besides the TRD, but that went hand in hand with the blower), and I've always been skeptical about any tunes that don't include physical changes to back them up. Five minutes in and I'm a believer. Back to back from what I had to this is very noticeable improvements. I would be 100% happy with this and no changes in the future, and the fact Mat will help dial in things like shift points and afr makes me that much more excited.

EDIT: 50 miles on the interstate and good so far. Manually shifted into 6th is way nice, helps fix the cruise control that will shift 3 gears at the glance of a hill. Especially with the blower it'll just add boost to keep speed and stay lugging at 2500rpm or less.

If you can get me some logs tonight, or send me a message on the AFR you are seeing at various rpm full throttle I'll update a file before you leave in the morning,

I LOVE the idea of line pressure adjustment. That's how we keep our transmissions alive for longer by allowing less slip in the clutch plates.

Maybe this is a dumb question, can someone tell me where to download the data logger? I can't find it in the instructions or on the website.

Open the Flash Manager, then Tuning (drop down opens) and Data logger is listed. Is that not working for you?

I'll try it, I just plain didn't know where it was haha.

EDIT: I seem to have the same issue of most of it crashing when I try to connect. Oh well, hand written data logging it is.

Got the tune flashed on my TRD SC'd truck...far superior transmission shifting, smooth, I hear the SC work more then it used to just downshift...it feels like it's meant to run...will get some DL'n tomorrow and see what everything looks like...OVT, thank you!

@OVTune I was looking at what was listed in your data logger and noticed it doesn't have a reading for ethanol %. Not sure how useful it is for you, but I wondered bid you could add it.

The reason I ask is for the longest time I had to check my ethanol levels because of Toyotas crazy fuel/ethanol algorithms. Min would climb until I had to get it reset.

Anyway it would be nice to just see it on your program instead of having to hook up my other obd and use the app I have.

Any chance of that? Honestly I don't want to take away from your programming time. But if it's a simple flip of the switch, it might be nice.

Got my first driving around town log done. So far so good! Smooth and transmission shifts very nice!

The more I drove around I realized it was holding gears a bit longer.

No it was under the Toyota flash manager.

I took a video of my afrs with rpm call outs and sent it to Mat. If that's enough info to do anything with awesome, if it's not or he's too busy awesome too. I'm just happy I have gear lock now, Ive had afr in the 9s since installing the blower so this is nothing new. Better too rich than too lean.

Ya, I was having the same issue earlier in the day as my laptop had an update last night. I rolled it back and just returned from collecting and sending some data to Mat. Now for a sammich!

I am still waiting for my tune, but I downloaded flash manager and the logger works "for now" . Be glad to get data back to OV for fine tuning.

    @OVTune

In the email I sent to you, I mentioned that it felt like my truck wouldn't shift out of gear around 30 mph.

I just wanted to add to that after speaking with another member. I couldn't quite put what I felt into words (well that was a weird statement), but here is a good way to describe what is happening:

The transmission seems to be tuned to have a bit of the Tow/Haul behavior where it holds the gear a little longer before the truck up shifts. The throttle is kind of jerky trying to maintain 25-30 MPH. It seems like the transmission holds 3rd gear.

I didn't notice this every time. But I didn't have long to test it out.

I think in the email with the update it said if you want the short points adjusted or don't like it just let me know, you can email me that not post it here as not everyone is running the same shift tables, it's mod dependent.
