All good advice above. The only thing to caution you about is mixing Icon in with one of the others. Icon is digressively valved and the others are progressively valved. I don't know for a fact that you can't run them together, It just seems weird to me.

appreciate that. I'm not a fan of mixing just from the looks....I'm OCD enough it would probably bug me lol

Also, should I do a 2.0 with rest or 2.5 Resi in the rear?

I understand the OCD thing. I did run fox rears and ADS fronts for nearly a year. I'm also planning to run a king secondary up front if my deal with @zackbremer works out. I can live the Franken truck, as long as it performs.

It's up to you. A lot of people run 2.0 but these are big, heavy trucks. I personally never considered a 2.0. If you're doing technical stuff, you're less likely to cycle the suspension rapidly enough to warm the shocks. If you go desert romping you will warm up the shock oil. Maybe @dcsleeper408 will chime in on this.

That was my thinking...I'm good running 2.5 up front, but was on the edge of a reservoir...but i know it also does more that cooling, it also helps with absorption of the bumps...I'f i did 2.0, id run a reservoir no problem.

If you can afford it the 2.5 with resis will go a long way as far as performance. Ads/king/icon are all rebuildable and you can customize the valving on them if you please. Look into extended travel vs. your “stock” over the shelf length. The clickers give you some user tuning as well.

For a little more understanding.

You just love spending my money don't you @dcsleeper408 ;) Just kidding. if I go 1" in the rear, will i need extended length? i'm between king and Fox for the money, but mostly fox due to cost since i can buy a members 2.5 rest shock for a good price...

I thought fox were rebuildable? That is a good video too

Yeah, Fox are rebuildable. Mark just suffers momentary amnesia at times.

Yes. Sorry I completely forgot to mention fox. Yes they are rebuildable.
Extended is recommended. So your shock won’t limit your down travel.

Contact mcmFab and get a quote for an ADS setup before you decide. Imo they are neck & neck with king and may even be better considering what you get with them. Check out ADS’s website for a direct comparison with Kings

    I believe the fox
880-02-947 are extended. Also when it says new upper control arm needed, is that due to ride height?

There are several reasons for the UCA replacement.
    1. More space for resi hose
    2. Improve alignment specs.
    3. Eliminate the potential for binding the OEM ball joint that becomes possible with the increase in travel.

This was my oem uca with billy/eibach setup at full droop.
A lot of good benefits to getting uca. If manufacture requires then best to do so. Save you some headache down the road.
