    38.9 P/E no thank u. Its a falling knife.
Its a tech company and I am a tech guy all my life.
I don't trust tech workers anymore than I trust that Toyota will be coming out with a PHEV Tundra that I want.
Sheesh.. All I am asking for is 25-30 miles on battery for in town or in the bush.

What’s the issue? I had plenty to choose from when I got mine. There were multiple Platinums and Pros I could have gotten the same day.

It just came off the rail in the yard and he said it’s on hold for software reprogram.

ETA arrival went from Dec 23 to unknown with 55-60 day hold.

That’s got to be frustrating as hell. There’s a couple of Platinums and five Pros available here in Houston.

    Adjustment?

Thw problem is. I drove our tiny car up here to trade in while visiting in laws. We got 3 christmas gatherings to hit for my 5 and 7 year old. We were bursting at the seams coming up. I have to find something here or I’m SOL

I didn’t pay an adjustment on my Platinum. I think the best quote I got on a pro was 6k over.

Mike Sweers said as much. He probably knows that the same sheeple will come back because Toyota and they will just continue to sell their ~150k units a year regardless of how good or bad it is. Just like the Tacoma.

The question with the new Tacoma is, will they build a mediocre truck knowing that they will probably still dominate the mid-sized segment or will they put their best foot forward. The new Colorado sounds kinda awesome with the high output 2.7L making 430 ft-lbs of torque.

This review seemed like they were just talking about their experience with the truck, it sounded pretty genuine. Not sure where it was biased.

It’s biased if the reviewer doesn’t like the same truck forum members spent over $60K on.

I think my issue with him is he never had a single positive thing to say about the Tundra. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and I personally could care less what he thinks of the truck. However the fact that he didn’t have a single positive thing to say about it makes me wonder if there was some bias or wanting to find fault. This most recent video was especially bad. “Do I miss my Tundra” which was just literally a 20 minute gripe session about this and that. They were fair points and clearly he values things differently than I do. He straight up said reliability was not a factor because he gets a new truck every year. I would wager most buy a Tundra and reliability is a major factor and something most of us value. So to me, he just seems out of touch and I get it - he makes money reviewing cars and pointing out all the bad. But if your doing a “review” as he proclaims, I want to hear the good and bad.

Not a single positive thing? That’s not true , if you don’t like the reviews no problem I understand, don’t watch, but no reason to exaggerate like that

he’s mention how good the engineering is numerous time and how good the ride is, the power , and so on

I must have missed it. Haha now it’s my bias coming out! I’ve watched a few of his videos about the Tundra, new sequoia, new GM he just bought etc. and I just don’t find I relate to him in any way. So there’s that.

no worries man, just don't watch, super simple solution. I like his review for the most part, just kind of simple perspective on things, he does have Toyotas ear at times and has given good feedback.

    anyways, take care

If Toyota starts listening to and making changes based on feedback from guys who buy a new truck every year, we'll eventually get to the point where we may as well buy whichever brand is cheapest and dump it when the warranty is up.

I get it, but it was more about the problems it was having right off the bat with the door locks, infotainment, etc.

toyota is screwed either way as far as a community like this is concerned. It's either they make a dinosaur (second gen) thats "so outdated" or a next gen (3rd gen) thats "a sissy truck and wont last"

round and round we go, nothing new. same shit when every single gen came out, Ive been on these type boards since 2000 (tundra solutions) with a late 99 built 2000 model tundra. its always the same shit, someone isnt happy.

It just seems like they've alienated a lot of 1st and 2nd Gen owners with the 3rd Gen but they don't appear to have attracted as many Taco owners as they were expecting, based on what I'm reading here and on TW. I guess we'll see if it works out for them in the long run.

Toyota truck drivers have been sacrificing creature comforts and luxury (using that term loosely) features for rock solid reliability for decades. If anything, Toyota has abandoned that customer base to half-heartedly chase people who buy trucks based on their first impressions.
Admittedly, current 1st and 2nd Gen drivers are a drop in the bucket compared to current big 3 drivers…
