Its VERY rare that oil pump just "go" - You can remove the sensor and put a mechanical gauge in to get an accurate number and make an informed diagnosis

If it's just the gauge, what would OP feel?
If it is actually the pump, wouldn't OP feel the drop in oil pressure in the way the truck behaves?

    Just curious.

If he truly has a pump issue the truck would be very noisy - the valves need that pressure to keep from clicking . As far as how it behaves the engine would seize if there was no pressure - would not take too long !

Could lose power and run hot before seizing up due to increased friction. And it would definitely be a little noisier in the valve train.

hey there, i know this was from a few years ago now but im having the same issue. oil pressure gauge looks identical to OPs in the first pic, below L when off and moves up to L at idle. i only noticed it a week or so after i had removed the cluster to swap the lights for leds. thinking that may have screwed with the gauge. when i noticed the gauge, engine was sounding fine and running well so i drove home, 45 mins. i haven’t driven since cause now im a bit scared there may be a real issue. if i did have zero(very low) oil pressure, would my engine have seized on that drive home though?

You would know if it did. I’ve not seen one of these motors die from low oil pressure. The gauge has notoriously shown lower appearing oil pressures including mine.

Replacement oil pressure sender is 83520-60051.

Some folks have complained aftermarket stayed low or didn't work. Some folks had similar response with the updated part number I just gave. Pre-2005 are notorious for registering low/no pressure. the design of the needle on the pre-VVTi trucks is dumb. 2005-2006 have the needle sit half-mast.
