I am the same way with usually springing for OEM parts but I'm with you hard time to justify $200 extra. Let me know how you like the 1A mirrors.

Got them installed tonight, and my 2017 SR5, which only had power adjust and heat, now has power adjust, heat, blinker and side marker light. :DIMG_5491.jpgIMG_5494.jpg

The OEM tow mirrors that I had installed on my 2015 TRD Pro work great.

Thank you! I do as well but I'd have to say Cement is my all time favorite.

Will do. I got them a couple days ago, going to install them here in a little bit. Can tell you they're solid and look identical to my brother's OEM tow mirrors. I'm pretty OCD so I think I compared as much as I could.

I'll put up some pictures and how they did on the road tonight or tomorrow.

That would be great! Can't wait to see what you think once installed.

Here's a couple pictures and a video, thought it was pretty cool that they stay lit when I remote start.

Everything works (blinkers, running lights, motors up/down and side/side, etc.). Worth noting that I have a Tundra grade, bottom of the line and everything still works. I slowly put on parts to have it look more upgraded so I don't think anyone would have any issues?

Driving, I don't notice any extra noise at highway speeds and the only vibration I notice is when I hit a pot hole, but I didn't pay attention to my stock mirrors to see if it happened to those - doesn't bother me. Doesn't rattle by any means, glass just vibrates a little.

Install, only delay I had was mine had a black clip in the center that connects the stock mirror to the door that doesn't go back in for these. I had to use a small pair of needle nose pliers to pull it out of the door. Even with that, it took maybe 15 minutes to put them on. The clips that hold the panel to the door would be dang hard to break, the ones that came off the panel I just pulled off the door and put them back on the panel. Mentioning this because other posts said to have extra clips available bc you'll break them.

All in all, they match up just like my brother's, can't tell a difference between 1A Auto's and OEM. All the connectors are brass like their video says and the rubber gasket that comes to seal them holds tight. Glass is quality, plastic is perfect, couldn't be happier.

    Two thumbs up from me.

You have to punch in 2016 for the mirrors as they don't have 2017 model year available.

I purchased a set of the 1a and had to return them, the glass shook so badly on them I couldn't stand it. Every road imperfection made the glass shake and some roads it was constant which then distorted the image in the mirror. Loved the blind-spot mirror in them though so I will be getting the oem mirrors in the future.

After a lot of research and feedback this were my findings: about half of those that reply went with. Toyota oem and the other half went with a1auto. Half of the folks that went with a1auto experience some vibration and switched to toyota oem, the other half had very little to none. Everyone who went with a different brand reported vibrations 100% of the time. I went with Toyota oem and @Roman had the most competitive prices.

@Roman or any others with a TRD Pro - or BSM equipped Tundra.
I realize I will lose the signal that illuminates for the BSM, which I don't care about, does the beeping when reversing if someone is approaching still sound, or do you lose complete BSM functions upon switching to tow mirrors?

    Thank you.

Just took the OEM mirrors off my 2017 and installed (myself) the tow mirrors..I'm not a mechanic by any means but this was a piece of cake, watched YouTube video and was done in about 30 minutes.. plug and play 100%. My tow mirrors are heated and power adjustable (not folding) with turn signals on the mirrors as well.. zero problems

I'm also interested in this. One could easily add an LED somewhere in place of the light on the mirror to show someone is in your blind spot, although the blind spot mirror should solve that anyway. I would assume that the BSM is part of the sensors on the bumper and not directly attached to the mirror, so the beeping should still work and the wire for the LED should still work for attaching my own LED. Can anyone confirm?

Can anyone on here comment about the BSM feature? Does the system still beep even though the tow mirrors don't have the lights? Seems if some guys are adding a small led light somewhere that the BSM and rear cross traffic will still be active...............

I love mine on my SR5 but when i pay 46k for a truck I think they should be power folding. Its embarassing always walking around the truck folding them in.

TRD rear sway bar, console organizer, stubby antenna, LEDs for cabin, cargo, license plate, and reverse lights, power-fold mirrors, Westin nerf bars, full stereo upgrade. Future - color-match grill surround/bulge, mirror caps, handles, plasti-dip badges.
I am in the process of doing this right now. I replaced my '18 mirrors with a set from a '12 Limited so I could get power-fold. I had to run 6 wires into each door and replace the mirror switch. I added 3mm LEDs in the sail panels. I got this idea from a post on TundraTalk.

The only issue I am running into is the tiny 3mm LEDs need resistors, otherwise they will burn out. The resistors end up causing an issue with the BSM system. Both LEDs light up when I first start the truck, but an alert comes on the dash when the sensors are triggered. You can get around this by using larger 12v LEDs that don't need a resistor, but since I like the look of the 3mm LEDs, I am going to put a jumper wire between the positive and negative wires on the LED to "close" the BSM system loop. This should allow the BSM system to operate like it did stock, and the 3mm LED will just branch off of the 12v circuit with it's resistor. I am going to try this tonight and I'll let you know.

To confirm, you will lose BSM and RCTA (beeping when someone crosses behind you) if the replacement mirrors don't have the BSM LED. If you don't care about the LEDs in the mirrors, you can potentially place a jumper wire on the BSM+ and BSM- wires at the mirror and this should close the loop for the BSM system.
