And as mentioned our trucks do not have a fog lights indicator in dashboard.

Ohh don’t forget to seal the empty hole in turn signal plug you can use some caulk or clear silicone for that

Well, I just got it done. I cannot thank you enough. Everything works perfectly. I did put caulk in the middle, now empty hole and taped off the end of the purple wire.

One thing I don't understand still is what exactly that purple wire was for? The way you explained it made me think that was just constant power to the turn signal bulb for DRL. But even with the purple wire disconnected, my amber DRL are still on in conjunction with the new strip lights but only when the motor is running. Motor off / Key in "on" position still just the DRL strips and not the amber bulb.

The violet wire power the parking (parking/taillights circuit) and due to the turn signal bulb used in the new headlights which have the ground contact flipped (non CK) if you keep the violet in the middle it short all the parking and taillights circuit including your dash illumination.

For a clean installation my harness always included a turn signal adapter/splitter so repining isn’t necessary and make this bulb PnP to our trucks

Brilliant! I wish I knew about your kit before attempting this upgrade, it would have made my life a whole lot easier! What a joke that the big retailers don't include something like this, or even provide proper instruction. Thanks again. If you have venmo or zelle please PM me. I would like to offer you a gift of gratitude for your expertise.

No worries my friend, I’m just happy to help and this is why I love this forum because we are like family here not like other forums I been before where people is just there to take advantage of people asking for help with really simple stuff like this.

Have a nice weekend good sir.

Hmm... As I said earlier in the thread, I could have sworn I had the same icon. I have to check the owners manual. Regardless, nothing appears now and I'm curious if I had this feature, why not now?
