I think he might mean that today's current batch of snowflakes need to spend some family time away from video games and texting. Many kids nowadays aren't very prepared for the real world where there are real bad guys. Becoming desensitized. Not 2nd Amendment stuff but good advice none the less. 2nd Amendment is self explanatory. Plenty of good info available on the NRA site such as a copy of the Constitution and 2nd Amendment. Lots of great info on gun safety programs for kids although some parents do not feel the need to protect their kids at home or at school and leave them sitting ducks. Ducks have a better chance..They can fly away....

Not an NRA member and have no interest in joining. Former cop and I still CC. Also served in military and deployed in support of OIR. I would also call myself a patriot.

The good thing is the NRA is still protecting your right to bear arms..

I'm not a member, so what's their strategy, Matt? I see everyone calling NRA members terrorists, having blood on their hands and are in favor of killing kids; where's the push back from the NRA? Is the strategy of the NRA to let these clowns just talk until they are blue in the face knowing nothing will change in the long run? I'm not being facetious, I'm seriously asking because I don't know . . .

Sure, NRA will get more money, but politicians being spineless I can easily see them turning down NRA $ to virtual signal to their constituents which will then remove all influence the NRA will have withe the $ they collect. Let me know brother.

I also get the impression that the NRA has gone too far and is more beholden to its business interests (big $) than its membership.

Not in red states. They attempt to support infringement of 2nd Amendment....they will not get reelected. There is always this emotional reaction from both sides after any tragedy. NRA has plenty of strategies. All you have to do is sign up to receive daily updates. As mentioned above..without the NRA things would be a lot different.
    So did I. Haha

Haven’t bit the bullet and bought an individual life NRA membership, though I go to the county NRA banquet every year with my family. Will be getting one this year though. Am a member of Rocky Mountain Gun Owners though.

As far as gun rights go, after reading many books on the Founding Father’s intentions in regards to the 2nd Amendment, it shows that out of all the enumerated rights we have, they intended the 2A to be as close to an “untouchable” right as is possible. They intended the American population to be as well armed as any force that could potentially oppress us, whether that be our own government or a foreign power. I think people forget that in modern times, which is a shame because it’s a part of our national identity and our history.

When was the last local NRA meeting you attended? Yes they do pay large sums to protect "big business" Firearm makers. Many states are pushing back. Remington just filed bankruptcy. I've always tried to be directly involved in things I believe in. Not sit on the sideline. We all have a voice. Makes for a better arguement.Hopefully the NRA will kick it up a notch!!

I personally would totally be for raising property taxes $10 a month to fund security at our schools. I would think that would be more than enough money to make that happen. And it should have happened after Sandy Hook. Why is it this has not been proposed ?

Fellow patriots: it just came out this morning that a former Supreme Court justice wants the 2nd amendment repealed! Time to join the NRA, if you haven’t already, and fight back hard. Why should Diane Feinstein be allowed to carry, and not a law biding citizen? CA CCW laws put all law biding citizens at risk.

Indeed. But in their eyes, it's the object that's evil not the individual. So YES, it is a solution, but not they one they want.

You know what, good. Say it and bring it up in Congress. Let's see who is really for/against the RKBA. Let's just cut to the chase and see where this ends . . .
