Life member. I may not always agree 100% but I want someone out there advocating for gun rights.

I was literally thinking the same recently. I have always avoided joining the NRA, am a vehement supporter of the 2nd though. Lately I feel that I need to join the NRA because they are the only major group protecting my 2nd amendment rights with the clout to be effective.

    Thinking of going lifetime.

Last weekend when I was up near Echo Lake with the gkids I could hear a lot of gun fire where I've gone numerous times to kill clay pigeons. Decided to drive up. There were a half dozen trucks parked. Big time target shooting going on. Done right. Shooting tables, spotters, ear protection, etc. Maybe a dozen people. I parked where the kids could see what's going on. First time experience for them. All types of firearms...The look on their faces...

So freaking true. Although local and state organizations are good...they are not even remotely able to take on anti gun agenda. The NRA needs members. More members...more $$$ to not only fight DC but more money that can go to helping your local organizations fight stupid state/local laws. Now is not the time to be sitting on the fence. Not even....

Sorry, and you are correct, she's federal. I don't pay much attention to this "witch".

I’m a member. They aren’t perfect and I don’t like how they threw bump stocks under the bus after Vegas happened. (Even though I don’t own a bump stock and think they are silly) But, the NRA is the best we have right now.

I also am a member of VCDL which is an awesome group here in Virginia.

I'm behind enemy lines in California, but I do what I can by being a member of the NRA, GOA and Gun Owners of California (GOC), as well as give money to FPC and the Calguns Foundation when I can. I'm going to upgrade my NRA membership to Life in a bit.

No Sherriff has enforced it. They are elected for the most part. Politically appointed Police chiefs try to. I know a couple Aurora PDs. They just laugh when I mention it. Impossible to inforce..

I am a lifetime member, and my favorite part is the NRA Conventions. I have traveled to 4 so far and will be going to my 5th in Dallas in May. This trip will be the furthest Ive traveled just to go to a trade show but its awesome and so worth it. Anyone who has never been should go.

Breakdown of society and the family unit. Back in the day when families where together, there was less divorce, less kids out of wedlock, discipline, less PC BS, etc. we didn't have an issue where "guns" were the ill of society. Guns were readily available and with LESS regulation and mass shooting hardly ever happened. So what changed . . . society.

Was having this same convo with wife last night. So the current argument is infringe on the 2nd because as a society we are no longer united; more divided than ever due to tech and all the unintended consequences that come from it.
