Does anyone know if the green wire goes to red or black terminal. I see it both ways when going through these pages. Now I’m confused, lol. Thx

The above is taken from https://www.tundras.com/threads/any-way-to-upgrade-just-the-jbl-subs.29787/, in replacing the factory 8" JBL subwoofer with a dual 2 ohm Kicker CompRT 43CWRT81 subwoofer. carman writes:
But I believe he meant to write "8inch"

Any more long term reviews for this upgrade? Are you finding it has enough bass or is an additional amp needed to really spice it up?

Depends on the song and source (fm, xm, some music) I think an amp would bring it alive but overall, but it is a pretty big improvement by itself

Thanks. I'm primarily listening to XM. Do you find that quality is better or worse than other sources?

Also, do most people adjust the bass all the way down to cut out distortion from the mids?

I'm coming from the stock infinity system in my 2014 optima which had enough bass from the 8" sub in the rear deck and was completely distortion free. Before that i had two 15s in a giant ported box in my Tahoe. They were underpowered but still hit pretty hard. I know this upgrade wouldnt touch that but hoping for something in between the two.

My bass is still set a few clicks away from max and my mids do not distort. I’m not into rattling my mirrors like my younger days, but it does help add some punch to the songs. I typically listen to XM Country. Some songs have a lot of bass and some don’t. Chris Stapleton usually has decent bass.
