Agreed, now it almost sounds like what a premium factory sound system should, now to upgrade the door speakers and tweeters to get the whole package.

Looks great man. Also seems like good use of a dead space since we can’t fold the back seats down.

Got mine installed. Decided to cutout the foam in order to gain peace of mind that I wouldn't wrestle with misaligned back seats. Ocd would drive me nuts. Not sure if it would've been misaligned, but I didn't want to have to go to fight with it if so. Came out great
Sounds amazing, had to back off the bass 2-3 clicks, will find the right home for it soon, but it is awesome to hear the accuracy down low now. Soft bass drums not audible prior to now. And of the bass drops, damn!
Thanks for the write ups and guidance. Was helpful.

Oh, and new to the forum, so haaaayyyyy!

Holy smokes that sub wakes the truck up! This is one of the best dollar for dollar upgrades I've ever made!

Thanks to @Pudge for setting this up and @james@tech12volts for the solid design!

Install my sub today there was no foam inside the sub box and the red and black wire connection was on the opposite side of the sub. Have to crimp some wire to reach on the other side.

Let’s see some picture guys how you place the sub more to the driver side or to the passenger side... it might save me time tmr playing around with it to get it flush with the passenger seat.

My seat pulled down tight and I don't have a noticeable offset.

Got the replacement sub last week and went round two with great results, I did not reinstall the upper drivers side bolt from the old sub, It will give you a 1/4" of needed space. Also moved the sub towards the drivers side as much as possible but remember to leave about a 1/2" space between the seat plastic and sub when it's in the down position.
Like this but check at the spot I'm pointing at.
    20190211_180532.jpg
Just for reference the distance between the sub and bolt head is about 1 1/4" like this.
    20190211_190529.jpg
I then tightened the rear passenger bolt first like someone mentioned and it went right back into place.

    Thanks Sean and James!

I finally had a break in the weather to install my sub. It didn't help that my shipment got weather delayed by UPS. But how big of a difference does the sub make from the stock sub because mine sounds like it has no thump, even with the bass turned all the way up. I also moved the line down from center too, to see if that did anything. The blue wire is connected to the red and white to black, which I think is correct. The foam was also taken out. The sub sort of sounds kind of muffled when I can hear it or it sounds under powered, whichever one. Not sure if it got damaged on the way here, but it doesn't look like it.

Look like the seat is making a mark on the box maybe that’s why the seat is not flush.

Man I wonder what happened there? Seems like total opposite of what you need. How was the bass out of the unit? After you installed it, was your seat still not sitting flush?

If you have already done the coarse thread bolt first and it isn't flush, you could give this a shot..

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/now...h12volts-group-buy.37273/page-18#post-1011957

Like I said, not sure if I would've had an issue, but it clears a bit of space for the top to rest farther back.

Looks like you could come a little bit towards the drivers side, I also did notice how the seat frame pushes on. If you have access to a router you could shave that spot down 1/4" or so.

Your the second one Ive seen on here. It's a shame you have to modify a custom fit box you paid for.

you dont have to modify the box. splice ina section of wire to add length. you can butt splice them or solder and heat shrink. options are endless and easier than modding the box

you shouldn't have to shave anything. ensure the box is fully seated against the foam. keep pressure on the box and put seat in. then keep pressure on the seat as you run that back inside bolt with the coarse thread in fully by hand. you should be able to fully run that bolt down by hand and then push on the seat to get a couple more flats then do opposite bolt then do forwards all by hand then torque inside back first then outside then forwards.. seatback deflection will be minimal if any.

Sorry I didn't mean the box itself. The connections should have been on the other side so no wire would have to be added.

Same thing happened to me, you’re just not bolting it down properly. Once I tightened the bolts on the floor, my seats came in line perfectly.
