Heated rear seats?! Never heard of 'em .

Sounds like a Platinum, Limited, or 1794 (think King Ranch or High Country) would be best for you. Good luck!

Welcome from PA. I went with a Platinum and added a bunch of mods like wheels/tires, suspension to level, dual exhaust, and a bunch more. It has enough bells and whistles for me, but wish the stereo was better. I came out of a 2014 S4 6MT and may be the exception but is was a very solid, reliable, and fun car for me. Held its value well also.

OP may have meant heated rear tailgate required on Fords while waiting for tow truck.

All the info you need for most mods is right here. I added 2 light bars, pro grille, retrofit headlights, 6112 Billies set at +1.9". None were hard to do. This forum helped a lot. If you cannot do yourself then find an independent mechanic. If you never leave pavement then you will need street legal driving lights and a 2" spacer lift would suffice but good coilovers will ride better. Tundras have a bedlight option but they are pretty worthless if you have stuff in bed like ice chests. Just added white vinyl letters to grille tonight.

    Whats the difference between
    TRD PRO
    TRD SPORT
    PLATINUM
    1796?

I mean I know everyone is saying get the platinum or 1796 but whats the difference? Is it only suspension and some other upgrades?

Is this guy trolling? Most of these questions are easily answered with a quick visit to Toyota's website or a Google search—much more efficient than asking them here. I hate it when jerks on the internet give snarky responses to questions, but the nature of these questions makes me wonder...

    Well your obviously very paranoid!

I am not familiar at all with Toyota’s truck line. I understand the F150 line a lot more and Landrover.... I’m just trying to understand that’s all
I’m actually looking on YouTube and their website but honestly it’s not very clear but the specs above with the brochure is pretty good

I honestly apologize if you're really trying to get info, so more power to you. I say I hate dicks from the internet and here I am being one! I'm just thinking I'd want to go find out the basic info from Toyota rather than asking a bunch of us knuckleheads!

    Hey Bud,

You don't have to explain yourself to any one, this forum is a great place to ask and search! Your not a troll, just some one curious so go ahead and ask away, many here are so knowledgeable they can answer quickly and accurately!

All as I can say is I've had fords and chevy's and Toyota Tundra is buy far #1 to me! Being they haven't had a major redesign or engine change in many years tells me they are doing something right!

    Good luck Bro!

    Thanks a lot man!
Yeh there is something to be said for the reliability it’s the number one thing pushing me to the Tundra.
I was thinking of a Defender 110, I still am cos I’ve always loved them, but it appears from the every day users it’s a life love of oil sweat and wrenching at it all the time

I just don’t have that amount of time in my current life situation

If I was to get an alternative I’d get a truck...did consider the F150/Raptor and Tundra

The problem here in the USA is unless NAS model it must be over 25 yrs old
That then means they are all beat, or had a lot of money invested in them and possibly need a lot more!
$50-70k is probably just going to get you into one that will still need work and just not be that reliable from what I am hearing

Between the Raptor and the Tundra, i will say i undoubtedly like the looks of a Raptor better. But i will also say i never seriously considered one, even though i do go offroad, and the Raptor has more power, ground clearance, etc. Personally the Toyota reliability is the #1 reason i chose the Tundra. Also, the gas mileage should be better in the tundra than the Raptor. I had a 2003 v6 5 speed 4x4 tacoma with over 175000 miles when i bought it in high school which i ended up selling because i couldnt keep up with the fuel cost, an 07 corolla (that died after i fell asleep on the commute to work last year...), a 2010 Corolla to replace that so i could save money, and after 2 years of saving every bit i could, bought a 2014 tundra crewmax SR5 4x4 that i am very happy with. I never had to do ANY repair work on ANY of those vehicles so far. My tundra has Bilstein 5100s set so the front is level with the rear and 285/65R18 Toyo A/T2s. It rides perfectly to me, and no rubbing anywhere with the tires. I also installed a Flowmaster Force 2 exhaust system and some Go Rhino running boards, both of which i am very happy with as well. The exhaust gives it a nice smooth performance tone but not a lot more volume. Go with the Ford or the Land Rover if you want, and i will admit there are a few better looking trucks out there with some cool options that you may not get with the Tundra, but for me, unless i need to tow something over 9500 pounds or haul more than 1500, i dont think ill ever own anything else.

    I had an Audi S4!
An absolute piece of crap I must have spent $25,000 in 35,000 miles I had it
    I got rid!
First and last Audi for me! Never again. AWD was excellent on it but a piece of junk otherwise
So now reliability takes much more precedent than maybe when I was younger

Yeah i can see how that would be incredibly frustrating. My dads Ford F250 had the turbo go out, the oil heater started superheating the oil while we were towing a camping trailer, and the EGR valves got plugged up, and since they had to remove the cab to do repairs on the oil heater, it ended up costing him somewhere around $8000 total if i remember correctly. Im only 20 years old and would love to have a sports car, but not only would it not be practical for my lifestyle (i hunt and cut firewood a decent amount), i probably would regret it for the rapair bill and speeding tickets i would probably end up getting haha. :p Reliability and capability is the only thing that really matters to me when im out in Bum Fling Egypt and theres nobody else around to save the day.
