DAMN. This thing is slick. Don't see a way to mount a winch for those looking for that capability though.

The bumper will work on a RW. You just cut the lower portion of the plastic bumper off right where the valance would end on a Tundra with a steel bumper.
I had the one piece bumper and cut it without issue. Not the best pics and a different bumper but gives you an idea of what it looks like.

Shout out to this guy right here! Thank for posting this! I just saw your PM on FB about the thread and signed up.

That is correct we're only doing a small batch of about 10 to start, but might entertain a group buy(as someone stated in here) if there's enough interest. :notsure:

I guess since this is my first post here, I'll introduce myself while I'm at it..

Hi, I'm Mike and I have a Toyota truck problem(2007 FJ, 2007 Tundra, 2018 T4R)... I just picked up my first Tundra last December and told myself I was going to keep it stock. Well..... it was stock for about a month or so. I've been part of the FJC community for about 7-8 years now and started RESZ Fabrication at the end of 2014. It was just a part time hobby mainly at that time making some small light bar mounts and a bumper here and there out of my garage. Two years later I quite my software/web development career to go full time with RESZ Fab. I moved out of my 2 car garage and into a 2700 sqft shop(with 0 sqft of office space) in the Summer of 2017. I honestly don't know if that or quitting my full time job created all the gray hair, but both were pretty nerve-racking. Going back and forth between the shop and home office got old REAL quick so in Oct 2018 we decided to move to a larger shop with a nice big office. It took some remodeling, but as of Nov 29th 2018 we're here to stay for a bit(i hope..)

Needless to say it's been a pretty crazy ride the last few years, but wouldn't trade it for anything. The Toyota truck community is awesome and the support we get is absolutely amazing. Super excited to finally branch off to another Toyota model - I love the FJ, but a little change is always nice. From what I've seen in the last few months the Tundra community has a lot of great members and plenty of sweet rigs! I look forward to getting to know you guys better and working with you guys to create some cool Tundra products.

Welcome Mike. I'm really impressed by that bumper. Sometimes less is more. Rumor has it there may be a 3rd gen version? I'm keeping an eye out for that.

Thank you! Yeah that was the whole idea. Keep it simple with high clearance, great approach angle, and reasonable price.

Yes, there will be a 3rd gen version as well. I just need to get my hands one to get dimensions.

We'll also be doing a larger "full size" version for the 2nd gen that will eliminate the valence and allow a winch to be mounted to it.

There is a huge, IMO, hole to be filled in the market by a rear bumper that relocates the hitch. That hitch is a major PITA and seriously limits departure angle. Start talking hitch and liability becomes a major deterrent. My thought is to utilize a hitch currently available from Westin, relieve yourself of liability and create a matching, high clearance rear bumper.
    Just food for thought.

Unfortunately no, not with this low profile/high clearance version. The Baja Design S2's just barely fit. The one we design with winch mount later in the year will be able to house the typical 3.5" fog/driving lights.

I'll have some pics as soon as it arrives from Baja Designs. It's scheduled to be delivered Friday so I should have some pics this weekend with the light bar installed.

Yeah I discovered this a couple weeks ago when I decided to take the Tundra to some local trails I normally hit with my FJ. Tore up the hitch wiring harness..

I likely won't have time to do anything with a rear bumper on the Tundra until sometime next year. Have too many other projects in line first.

Yeah that looks really nice and yet also functional.
Will keep an eye out for a third gen version with winch space. (And room for a 35” lightbar, because lightbars before lockers)

Another year and you’ll be waiting as long as Lisa and I have been for a third gen rear bumper worth a shit that relocates the ‘hitch’ and calls it a ‘recovery point’. :turtleride:

We’ve resolved ourselves to a custom solution of some kind. Someday. Maybe.

That’s one of the nicest, most functional looking front bumpers I’ve seen for a Tundra! Low profile (and I assume lesser weight), excellent clearance and approach angle and very competitive price. If I had a 2nd gen I’d seriously consider being one of the first in line for that group buy! I was considering an N-Fab for my 3rd gen, but I think I’m going to have to wait to see how your 3rd gen bumper comes out.

Nothing against the massive, protruding plate bumpers, but I just never liked them, both from an aesthetic and a functional standpoint. Unfortunately, the selections for Tundras seem to prefer more of the bigger, heavier ones. This Resz Fab bumper is a welcome departure from that trend. Can’t wait to see the 3rd gen bumper and rear bumpers offered in the future.

So how do group buys work around here? Do I have to be an authorized vendor or can any business do a group buy? I briefly read over the rules, but didn't see anything specific to vendors and group buys

If I did a group buy is there anyone in this thread that'd be interested? Just trying to gauge interest..
