Alright I appreciate it. They did add a spray in bedliner. Don't think I will get it much lower. However I haven't even stepped foot in the dealership yet. I'll be sure to bring some lube.....lol

THEY WILL ATTEMPT TO SCREW YOU ON FINANCING.

Get your credit score and get pre qualified here:

    https://www.capitalone.com/cars/?PF...Vl_5kCh0ZYgNKEAAYASAAEgKYUvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

The rate you get there should be the MAXIMUM you will pay on the loan. If they can’t at least beat that rate, then finance through Capitol One, somewhere else, or walk.

Never set foot in a dealership without having a pre-approval in place from another bank.

I’d also advise to either skip any extended warranty, or get a quote elsewhere. 100% do not pay what they propose.

I used CapitalOne Auto Navigator for my last two Tundras, and it saved me a ton of money!
Knowing what you can get before even walking in is a huge bargaining chip.

It saved me a ton on that Sequoia I bought a few weeks ago. Two dealerships tried to hit me with well over 5%. I got 1.9% by the time I was done.

Check the mileage also. I don’t see it on there. I’ve gone to test drive a “new” vehicle before, and found out it had almost 3000 miles on it already.

Alright I will. My credit score is 788 and I have no debt....well maybe 1600 on my Amex and mortgage is paid off. The dealership deals directly with a local credit union and the lady at the credit union said it is no different if i do it through them... i am not sure if they just say that.

I was afraid to check many places....does that make your score go down if you pre apply?

The Capitol One pre approval does not.

It’s also not an issue if you check several places at once. The credit reporting companies treat multiple inquiries during a short period as just one hit. Basically, if the dealership is going to run your credit anyway, there’s no reason not to check several at the same time.

As for the credit union telling you it’s no different, that surprises me. It’s definitely different, so it’s likely because they are doing business with that dealership. Find another.

    Check your bank also.

What you want to do is get the best rate you can pre-approved through a third party. Toyota will almost certainly match or beat it. Whatever you do, don’t just go with what they tell you.

Aren’t they running a 0.9 interest rate incentive?

That’s what I got just over a year ago.

I am going to go to the credit union tomorrow. However I am not sure how that goes considering I don't know if I want to give them the total otd they gave me. In the mean time I emailed 2 more dealerships but this gets old.

Yep, mine was 0% or $1500 rebate. You just have to get the best rate and run numbers. With me it was a wash and I was going with a CU until the approval got messed up and delayed. I wanted to go with the CU because I always pay off early. With $2k I would say the breakeven is somewhere in the low maybe mid 2s dependent on down payment.

    Yup, it's either or.
Quite common in new vehicle sales as there is a similar expense to the Mfg.

Spent about a month bouncing from dealership to dealership (8-10 total) within a couple hundred miles of me. Sticker was $47,700 for a limited and I paid $46,600 out the door taking the financing deal vs $2,000 off.

That’s probably because the bottom line price they’re showing you for the cost of the truck includes a $2,000 factory rebate. But you don’t get the factory rebate and their low finance offer, you get one or the other typically.

Don’t know what the gunner package is , but In Virginia you can get a platinum for cheaper than that.

I finally went to a local credit union. My credit score is 811 and they only offered me 3.25 for 60 months. Would Toyota offer less? Not sure how all this crap works? The otd price is 48000....I plan on putting 8 grand down however I will prob pay it off in a couple years

Looks like Toyota is offering 0% for 60 months, 1.9% for 72 months, or $2,500 off the price.

You would have to run the numbers. For me 1.79% for 5 years versus 0% +$1500 was a wash if I did not pay off early. You will most likely come out ahead taking the CU loan and paying off early.
