Hey yall I been trying to search all my questions and i found some answers but I figured this is the place to come for help. I decided im going to upgrade my JBL system on 2019 limited crew cab. At first I was going to keep the stock stereo but now I've decided I want apple car play and I want to add subs.
Question 1: When I change the Stereo out and add an amp for the subs do i need to do anything with the factory amp?
Question 2: what speakers fit the doors and any recommendations?
Question 3: which speaker adapters do I use?
Question 4: how do i run an amp to my speakers?
Question 5: speakers 2 ohms or 4 ohms? Does this matter?

    Thanks in advance

    See fine print
If you are changing headunit and amp there is no need for the factory amp unless you are not amplifying all your speakers. If I were you I would contact @james@tech12volts
I decided to keep my factory amp but he supplied me with headunit, maestro, speakers and everything else to put together an almost turn key project. Here are the speakers I have https://www.tundras.com/threads/upd...peaker-group-buy-valid-through-2-28-19.39104/

There are other options out there but I can speak highly of James' customer service. he will get you what you want/need. Best to call or email him.

See James at tech12volts - he is our resident sound man.

1.) Throw away the factory amp - seriously
2.) Some are direct bolt in almost all others James has the brackets.
    3.) See James
4.) You won't - there are harnesses that allow plug and play
5.) Not really - I have 2 ohm in doors and 4 ohm in dash, all sound awesome. But again, hookup with James...

I replaced my amp and kept the Entune. All plug and play. You had exact same questions I had. James has all your questions answered and he is readily available to assist you...

BTW - my dash speakers are JL Audio C1-075ct from James.

What purplenova said. This is NOT in my normal wheelhouse and I just replaced my doors + tweeters + center channel and sub with the Tech12Volt group buy and an Infinity Kappa 5/Rockford DSR-1. James has all the harnesses to make it plug-in-play. He sent me everything I needed and I did the full install in 7 hours with sound deadening. An aftermarket HU would probably sound better but it's important to me to be able to restore back to stock which would take me about an hour. HUGE difference in sound - especially adding the 5-channel amp/DSR-1/sub!

I initially replaced speakers but not the amp and the amp replacement has made the most difference.
