    Stock... for now
Looking at a new set of shoes for my ‘14 CM 4x4. Currently sitting stock on 275/60r20 from previous owner.
Needing to change size as I do a fair amount of hauling and want to go to an E load rating. The current size is a P metric load rating.

I am considering going with a 275/65r20. I am also considering. At a minimum for the time being adding a 1.75” level kit to the front. Eventually my plan would be to do more like a 2/1 coil over kit.

This truck is a daily driver with mostly pavement use and some dirt or gravel roads. Daily use is hauling stuff to job sites or towing trailers, though that’s only about 20%.
We like to do a fair amount of exploring in the N GA mountains on fire service roads and a few creek crossings. Nothing crazy.
Need something that does really well in our heavy rains. Only drive in snow 1 time a year, and it’s typically more like ice.
So, have narrowed tire choices down to the following:

    Cooper AT3 XLT
    - best wear warranty at 60k
    - good looking with beefy sidewall lugs
    - well priced
    - only negative review I have read is they like to hold rocks
    https://www.discounttire.com/buy-tires/cooper-discoverer-at3-xlt/p/36910

    Nitto RG
    - my preference as I’ve been wanting them since having a set of TG G2 and wishing they were a bit more aggressive.
    - a bit more expensive than the Coopers.
    - no wear warranty
    - I’m a fan of nitto, particularly since they are made here at the Tokyo plant in GA
    https://www.discounttire.com/buy-tires/nitto-ridge-grappler/p/30630

    Falken Wildpeak AT3
    - Have seen a lot of people starting to swear by these, particularly for all-weather performance
    - really aggressive looking AT
    - most expensive of the bunch
    - deepest tread at 19/32
    - 55k warranty
    - HEAVY- 10 pounds heavier than the others.

decisions, decisions. thanks for any input. Will probably pull the trigger in the next week or so.

My truck came with Ridge Grapplers. Have a bit over 21k on them. The only negative I have to say about them is they will flat spot after sitting overnight. Not a big problem for me because it’s not very bad and it always steadies out after 2-3 miles. They’re also not as quiet as some people would have you believe. They’re not nearly as loud as a true mud tire and you can drown out the noise with music easily, but you can definitely hear them with the radio off. They’re wearing evenly and the ride is good. If I don’t buy them again when my truck needs new shoes, it won’t be because I haven’t been happy with them, but because I want something a bit more aggressive.

I like my Cooper AT3’s. They are pre-XLT but I believe it is just a sidewall upgrade. I have at least 45k on them, still ride smooth and have plenty of life left in them. Wet traction is excellent, snow is decent. They do like throwing rocks after being on gravel but I haven’t seen any damage caused by it. Definitely a mild tread pattern for highway use and light off-road.

I've had my falken wilkpeaks since January and put about 15k or 20k miles on them, give or take. I love them, minimal road noise, great wet weather traction, and good in the mud and on the trails. No snow or ice yet. I live in the south. They still look new and I cant tell that they've worn down any. Discount tire had a promotion on them when I purchased.

Had Falken Wildpeaks on my Tacoma and when I got my Tundra, got it put on there right away as well. But from what I remember, Falken was one of the cheaper price option compared to other A/T tires???

All those are decent choices , Have you looked into The Hercules Terra Trac A/T 2 ? Very underrated tire ! I think they are made by cooper , Pricing is great too . Im currently running a set of them , stock size in 10ply . Very happy so far , low noise , great even tread wear for the past 30.000kms. Up here we see snow and ice , I drive highway and gravel roads too .

I am currently running Cooper XLT’s in 285/55R20. Fantastic tire that is beyond smooth, quiet, easy to balance, and has worn really well. If you haven’t seen it, there here is a large thread on them....
    https://www.tundras.com/threads/cooper-at3-xlt.29056/

As far as sizing goes. I had no issues with rubbing with the 285/55’s. Had read lots of guys have even gone 295/55’s with only having to remove the mud flaps / air dam tabs on the back of the bumper.
