No, not at this time. On my previous non-TRD 2023 Limited I did experience suspension squeak at around 3500 miles.

 

I think just staying within the speed limit helps a lot with better mpg. It also makes for a less stressful drive.

distance = 500 miles
70 mph = 7 hours, 8 minutes
75 mph = 6 hours, 40 minutes

If the speed limit is 70 mph, I don't need to get more stressed out and spend more on gas just to save 28 mins when driving to a destination that is 500 miles away.

Also, stretch your vision to about 12 seconds ahead to better prepare for road conditions, stoplights, intersections, turns, slowdowns, elevation changes and hazards. Better mpg and safer drive.

 

I'm biased because I have the same color, but I think its the best one.

 

lol you folks kill me. we've already hit 8.7 mpg during the winter. hoping this next winter she can hit lower on a tank. and thats not pulling anything


2018 tundra, we hit a low of 4.492 mpg on a tank that was during winter and no pulling.

After the camping trip, I'd say that the overpriced oem bed step is a candidate for most favorite option.

Bed step + a rail cleat to hang on to makes getting on the bed so much less of a workout. I still jump down but maybe I can use the step for this too.

Mine had been stuck at 12.X since I got the truck. Not sure if the tire upgrade made a difference.

 

Yes, on my previous 2023 Limited, I "upgraded" to Cooper AT3 4Ss in 275/60R20. I love the performance and appearance of the Coopers but my average went down to 15.5mpg doing 35-55mph 80% of the time.

 

My new favorite feature is now the pair of LED headlights with auto-leveling. It’s amazing how well they light up the road and how much wider coverage they provide than my previous 2023 Limited with the standard headlights, + the auto-leveling works for me.

 

Just do everyone else a favor and hug the shoulder of the road so you’re easy to pass.

Driving like that makes everyone else behind you have to do more work.

 

Respectfully, we both know we don’t drive the same roads and I’ve been driving these ones for over a 1/4 of a century.
Canadians, Ontarians and folks in the GTA do not all drive the same as each other or folks in the US.
I do drive in the slow lane, regularly check my rear view mirror to help facilitate faster traffic and always allow anyone merging the room to enter the highway in front of me.

With no details of the roads you’re driving, I took that to mean all highway.

My commute is nearly all highway for example and I don’t consider that unusual, but maybe it is? Guess I’m lucky, only 24 miles each way, little traffic, and a 65 MPH speed limit so 65-70 is my usual cruise control speed and I usually never touch the brakes between A and B.

 

If the speed limit is 70mph, I've read that the mininum should be around 50mph. I think it is perfectly ok to drive at 55mph if you are constantly scanning 12 seconds ahead, behind and on both sides, to make sure you are not inconveniencing/impeding others, and generally not being a potential danger to yourself or to others.

 

I strongly disagree unless you’re on divided highways, and there is a reason to be going that slow for example towing or hauling.

If someone is doing that shit on a two lane highway they’re either a douchebag, or are mentally or physically incapable of safely driving anymore.

As part of my job I have the misfortune of being transported by a 3rd party contractor that hires drivers of very questionable quality. Some of them insist on doing the kind of silly shit being advocated here, and I can tell you from first hand experience how dangerous it is to make yourself a mobile chicane on a two lane highway going 15-20 mph under the speed limit. Scanning 12 seconds ahead and behind you isn’t shit, and all the other drivers on the road are now forced to deal with the stupid asshole impeding traffic. When semis are passing you constantly and there is a que of vehicles 12 deep behind you, you’re a problem.

I never see any of these dumbasses move over to let everyone pass, they just screw everyone else on the road and increase the amount of passing in opposing lanes of traffic, which is increasing risk for everyone else.

Sorry I’ve had quite a few close calls because of situations like this, and some coworkers have been killed while riding in these damn contractor vehicles on 2 lane highways. I get a bit too fired up.

 

Yes, my context was a divided highway. I don't think we have roads there that go more than 55mph on a 2-lane highway.

But as long as you're within the speed limit and can react without inconveniencing/impeding others, and generally not being a potential danger to yourself or to others, it's fine.

 

In my AO which is western SD and eastern WY two lane highways are posted at 65 MPH, and 70 MPH respectively.

When we're driving, we need to be applying different skills: physical, mental, social and emotional skills. I'm not saying the general public have these skills and applying them, but I try to and also try to catch and correct myself I'm not.

I go back to saying that as long as you're within the speed limit and can react without inconveniencing/impeding others, and generally not being a potential danger to yourself or to others, I should be able to keep myself and others around me safe.

you really don’t need to provide an explanation to anyone.

 

For anyone who cares, I included my range of speeds for clarity since the fuel economy was so good. I was not altering my speed by choice. The trip was 90% highway with a speed limit of 100KPH. There were some slow downs which lead to the range of speeds.
You know what they say about assumptions! LOL
