Fantastic pictures and a great write up Sean. Almost felt as if I were there. I'd love to visit Moscow one day.

It was never really on my travel list until this thread! It’s a thought to look at now.

the most difficult part is getting the visa situated. you need an invitation letter and then loads of paperwork. we used the Its Easy service which took some of the headache out of it. most hotels will send you the invitation letter when you book a room. we stay at the same place every time we go, blues hotel, since it's a 10 minute walk to the academy and a 2 minute walk to the metro. 4 Seasons, Marriott, Hilton, Radisson are all there and i'm sure the english is very good in all of them.

my wife and i both have 3 year tourist visas. we have to start over with roxy every year for a student visa which is only for 3 months. the bolshoi takes care of getting the extension for her for the rest of year.

well. it's been a fun adventure but roxy will not be returning to moscow this fall. with the travel costs and pandemic issues, we've decided to keep her stateside. moscow is a bit of a mess these days.

i am so glad she had the experience she did. the debt we took on to make this happen for her was totally worth it. i would do it again, for any of the girls, without a second thought.

i am also extremely proud of her for everything she accomplished while there. she's made some lifelong friendships and the experience of living abroad will have a direct impact on her life outlook. i still have fond memories of growing up in nuremberg.

starting this fall, she will be in the fabulous locale of boca raton, florida at the harid conservatory. it looks like her best friend from the studio here in denver will be going with her. same style of ballet as what she has been doing and she's been enjoying the online classes from the past couple of weeks.

i will definitely miss visiting such an amazing city. my only regret is that we were never able to get dillen and piper over there.
