    In my experience they credit the current account you have,as it’s still linked to ykuo

    I did not get in on the group buy I went with oem and a ihacker harness

    but I will say IMO those lights were sold at a price offered and prepaid for the orders should be fulfilled as promised imo.

    once all these “refunds” are given folks go to Roman order the oem lights hit up ihacker for a harness and spend the difference on more mods of a good steak dinner

    This is why someone recommended not to offer group buys here anymore. Theres always that one person that complains. Ive done countless successful group buys on this forums since 2016 more for the XB led fog lights and only reason people complained was because it took a little longer for them to receive them even though ETA was stated as the terms like in this group buy. There was some issues when I sold the OEM conversion harness but those were fixed and orders that wasn't fulfilled in 2018 was due to me losing my child and I took some time off. But all those orders were refunded.

    Why would you have to wait until next year to order them? Refund will be in your account next week and everyone stated lightwerks ships the same day. These lights are extremely expensive and TRS changed the policy on these 3 times since February.

    TIME WASTED?? It was stated in the terms that these wasn't going to ship until the end of November which is next week. Terms were clearly stated on this group buy beforehand. They actually begin shipping earlier than expected so no time wasted. All of the Mods are reading everything on this group buy and they read the terms that was stated before anyone purchased so they know. Only issue was this change for us dealers that ended up having me to cancel the remaining orders which isn't many. Most people ordered the first day withing the first 4 hours or so and most of those were fulfilled.

    I understand the ones that got canceled are angry. But technically if you order from another company you'll still receive your lights within the ETA from this group buy (end of Nov)

    Only a few orders remained and were canceled. All canceled orders were refunded today. So many people were saying Lightwerks has them for the same price with same day shipping so I dont understand why only a few canceled and not all?? Sounds like most people were just trying to pressure for faster shipping regardless of the terms they agreed to before buying.

    Either way, I apologize to the canceled orders but your refunds were issued and depending on your bank it will be in your account next week. This was an unexpected event and we didnt know TRS would change these policies right before the holiday.

    I was going to buy these. Heard about the wait and said fuggedaboutit. Went with the trd pro headlights from @Roman and the @iHacker harness. Paid a lot less and absolutely no issues. No regrets here.

    Hmmm... Something doesn't seem quite right here. I've been quietly (and optimistically) waiting on the sidelines watching all the banter go back and forth.

    The Group Buy was opened for orders on Oct 2. I place my order Oct 3. My credit card was billed almost immediately. My order number is 1722. It looks like orders up to 1715 are the only ones to have shipped.

    If only a few orders were cancelled and unfulfilled, then there could not have been that many orders placed. But worse... I haven't received any confirmation of my order being shipped, no pm about cancellation, no refund, and no other emails since my order confirmation email on Oct 3.

    I want the headlights. That's why I placed the order in the first place. But failing that, I expect to have a full refund. And I have to admit, I agree with previous posts that it's completely unreasonable to take the orders, charge credit cards immediately upon order being placed, and then reneg on the agreed terms with no compensation. Payment is acceptance and commitment of contract. If the contract of sale could not be guaranteed, then payment should not have been processed until the goods were ready to be shipped.

    So bottom line: I'm upset, but I'll get over it IF I either get my headlights or a full refund.

    As you can see orders were shipping but TRS rolled out new policies for us this week. Again the lights original ETA was end of Nov as per the terms of this group buy. But orders went out earlier. Majority of orders were placed the first day it opened. I can have the lights shipped even with the new terms from TRS, but i'll be losing $$ per order now that they made new changes. Prices increased for us nearly $200 per headlight order and this discount was a huge one. Sometimes emails are delayed. If you dont see your cancellation tomorrow let me know and i'll resend it. Been having a few issues with the emails lately.

    As far as your payment acceptance comment, I cant control when the supplier changes pricing and rules about discounts. If I made these headlights myself everyone would have had them the moment they were ready for shipment. Im just the third party trying to offer a good deal for this forum, but I can see that wasnt a good idea either. I know alot of people are angry and I would be too, but this is out of my control and was unexpected.

    Also, orders 1722 and 1715 were years ago. I think you have order numbers confused. should start with 76** or 77**

    What excuse?? Orders shipped did you not see the previous posts?? Would you choose to lose money if your supplier changed policies and increase the price on an item you were offering at a low price? I dont think so.

    And you havent been around since I began. You only see what people complained about but every business have complaints. Its business. I always fixed any problems I had with products. You advised against ordering from me but yet you have yet to provide proof of why? People order by choice. Business changes.

    Again the Mods read the terms as well. I haven't violated any rules of this forums. I set terms for the group buy. People were so impatient they began complaining even though they read the terms. Now due to my supplier changing policies and pricing, I had to cancel remaining orders because of the lost of profit. Not something I want to do but I have no choice. Its out of my hands.

    Retrofits and these headlights are two different things. Only about 5% of people had issues with the retrofits I have done but even with the small percentage they started up a storm on here only because they refused to pay shipping to get headlights fixed. Terms of retrofits were stated on this as well as warranty work but seems like people here dont like to read terms. Thats why I stopped doing retrofits but 95% of people are happy.

    Funny how I dont see anyone who received their lights post anything positive. They P'md me and sent emails with installation questions but yet refuse to post anything positive on this thread. :angrygirl:

    All I'll say is that business is a gamble. You list a product for a price and see what happens. Same thing as a grocery store that lists a 30 pack of beer for $14 during a holiday. They know that they are losing money on that beer, but hope that while you are there getting that cheap beer you will buy other crap and they will make money. If you only buy the beer, well they lost on that gamble, but they will still sell you that beer for $14.

    Sorry you lost on this one, but you can't back out after the fact. That is just bad form and bad business and kills your name and reputation.

    Very good point and exampled! Yes business is a gamble and unfortunately I lost on this one trying to offer a good deal on these lights. Though there were plenty of complaints before the refunds. Mostly people that were impatient and didnt care about the original ETA. They see other bought from a different company and received their lights a week later and they felt they should get the same treatment even though its a different company offering a different discount with different terms. As lights began shipping I was looking forward to getting this completed so I can focus on the holidays and family. I Wasn't trying to add to the fire. But yes I lost not expecting new policy and price changes from my supplier. :boom:

    I did the same, Rich. But, I used the Morimoto harness due to getting a good deal. But, I recommend @iHacker harness as he’s a good guy with a great product. I was going to go with the Morimoto lights but the OEM were at my doorstep in a week and are bright with no issues on install. I couldn’t be happier! Go with OEM headlights and be done with it.

    I agree! @iHacker makes a great conversion harness and I recommended him to everyone who inquired about my harness which I dont make anymore. XB headlights are an awesome product as well but are expensive especially without a huge discount like was offered. Either way theres a personal preference when it comes to headlight choices. I did a comparison on the OEM's vs LED and HID retrofits and I believe HR did a comparison on XB vs OEM LED. Everyone should check those out before making a decision.

    Yes they do! A huge improvement over stock halogen. I always had my RX350 retrofits so both are a downgrade for me in the lighting department. XB has the unique looks though and warranty. If I had stock halogens, for me the choice between the two would come down to whats affordable.

    The Morimoto is a better looking housing and a longer warranty, no question. I was mildly concerned about the OEM one year warranty but I believe they are as quality built as the Morimoto and will hopefully stand the test of time.

    Its called loss leaders.

    Example, a lumber yard sells shingles, at low prices, they make no money, profit/margin, instead they need to sell you the entire job, felt, coil nails, cap nails or staples, drip edge, roof jacks, replacement or newer tools, delivery etc in order to make profit/margin.

    But they will still sell you the shingles if that's all you want. The sale of shingles is not conditional on buying the other items to get that low price, if it was then the conditions would need to be advertised as such.

    IMO same with the sale of the lights in question, if not completing the transaction due to "unexpected price increases" should have been in the conditions of the sale. If the lumber yard said hey we cant sell you those shingles 3 days after they were purchased due to a unexpected price increase so they will not be delivered then refunded the money, raised the price, then said hey we will sell them to you again but for more money, folks would lose their shit.

    I'm sorry, you are right. In my frustration I mistyped. My order number is 7722.

    Nonetheless, an order is a binding contract once funds have been collected. You wrote the terms of the contract and specified delivery mid to late November. Then you failed to respect the terms that you had created, and we had all agreed to, by entering into the Group Buy. In my book, that's not only bad business, but breach of contract. You sat on our money for over a month, and despite numerous requests failed to acknowledge exactly how many people were in the Group Buy.

    You say only a few orders were cancelled, but by my count, only 13 made it out the door. The last order number to ship was 7715. Since my order is 7722, that means at least 7 failed to ship. I can't believe I was the last order on Day 2 of a GB that remained open for almost a month. So that's at least 35% failure, but more likely much higher.

    I wonder how TRS would respond if they knew how you have acted as a dealer, and how you have tarnished their reputation by taking no responsibility for your actions and trying to push all the blame on them. Surely, if you had communicated the terms of this Group Buy contract with TRS from the beginning, they would have respected the terms of this contract and only imposed the price increase on future purchases.

    And again... WHERE'S MY REFUND???

    You guys have hit the issue perfectly. Instead of losing $100 to make $1000 in the future (made up numbers to show the concept) the seller has decided to save the $100 now but in his own buying thread multiple people are saying to buy from elsewhere.

    These Morimoto's in general have been a huge let down, personally I will NEVER buy Morimoto's because of the crap they've pulled, this is not on any dealer. Put out teaser's and change release dates many times, ship out testers without telling most consumers (many of which should not have been sent out they were so bad), and then change pricing well after the release. I'm glad they did all this and pushed me to OEM's. Luckily I learned my lesson about the flashy stuff without losing any money.

    Man, this turned fun.

    My order number was 7810 but let’s be honest, these aren’t order numbers for only this headlight so we don’t know how many were ordered.

    I’ve been vocal here about my displeasure about this group but (not because I didn’t read the terms, Jesus op, get something new to complain about your customers, but due to the lack of communication) so I honestly wasn’t surprised my order was cancelled.

    We all know credit card refunds take a few days to post to our card, give it til Tuesday until you bust out the pitch forks.

    I do agree that it’s slimy to cancel this due to pricing changes, you should charge at shipment if you want an opportunity to back out, once you take money you are locked into the deal.

    You said you were going to lose $15, you could have offered people to cover the $15. Sure we’d still roast you but you’d at least be trying to do right for your customers instead of yourself.

    I’ll avoid future dealings with you / your company simply simply due to the way you’re responding to people here and how you’re handling the situation.

    Finally, stop pointing our people registration date, like it matters, people join forums when they buy vehicles. They’ve had other vehicles, been on other forums, and seen this shit before.

    As a qualifier, I’m still waiting on headlights I ordered over a year ago for a car I no longer have but hey, that seller keeps people posted on build status and since we do generally understand “Shit happens” his business is thriving and Not dealing with the nonsense you are.

    Don’t forget the real world, you’re in Orlando, I wonder how many people we have in common and what they are going to say about you or your “business”?

    You guys keep posting examples of large companies in store procedures. Obviously this is far different from different. A Small businesses reseller that had his supplier change pricing during a group buy. First time they ever changed pricing on us.

    You guys kept posting in this thread to buy from another company anyways. I really don't understand this community.

    I remember when I took a league of absence from this thread and everyone spoke badly and "roasted" not knowing why. I don't understand why this community is so hostile. I've seen countless threads on here where people constantly talk bad about others. Where's the community that helped each other? Honestly this forum is Starting to turn bad just like the tundratalk forum years ago.

    Mods you guys need to do something about this.

    I understand those orders were canceled are upset and I apologize for that. Refunds has been sent out and if any have issues with the refund going back on their card let me know so we can get it fixed.

    Considering all of the people posting in my thread telling others to buy from another company, I know not to offer anymore discounts here.

    Of course not. We sell hundreds of other products worldwide. But we only offered this discount on the headlights on this forum. But we learned from our mistakes
