    Nothing wrong with a GX, I like how they look and have seen some built for OR use. The owner of the company that built my bumper I'm pretty sure had a mean one. Might even been selling not too long ago, think it was called Mega Lex. They're very capable when built and who wouldn't want to be comfortable while off roading.

    Haha @mgm16trdpro 's ride is awesome, as is yours! I feel the same way though, especially once I get focused on the next project/mod. Life has been getting in the way of truck stuff, but I expect that to slow down soon enough.

    I have been a little preoccupied with the GX lately, but the Tundra is enjoying staying clean and salt free in the garage.

    Tnx Don, appreciate it. Honestly we all got great trucks in our own tastes. Nothing wrong with passion when you get into something. Also nothing wrong with prioritizing things like family, kids, life over the truck. That's the way it should be.

    Can't wait to see what u do with that GX. I'm a bit jealous, I wish I could keep the salt off my truck, I'm hoping it lasts forever.

    Between my shitty hearing from being a dumbass and being too cool to wear hearing protection at my job, shooting guns, ect, my sound system, and those loud ass tires, are all reasons I felt like this was needed. But I'm fine just blaming it on the tires. Least that one didn't contribute to hearing loss from my own stupidity lol.

    Tell you what, when you hear this sucker in real life it might even give you some Camaro flashbacks. It's got a bit of a race car type note to it when you really open it up.

    Absolutely. I know it sounds weird but it's awesome to share the passion without having to go to a car show to appreciate other vehicles and get ideas, etc.

    Yeah, being responsible sucks at times, haha. The GX is new to me, but it has 153k miles, so I am going to feel her out for a bit before getting started.

    Aside from the normal off road type stuff, they have some real nice hidden winch setups. Dream setup would be a hidden winch for the front, trim the bottom of the front bumper for more clearance, off road rear bumper/swing gate for a spare, 2" lift/different wheels, sliders, skid plates, ARB compressor. I'm not afraid to scratch it up/break stuff off roading like I am my truck, so I am hoping to have some fun with it.

    I have been having good luck with Fluid Film on my Tundra so far. Underside is looking real nice, and it has been through 6 PA winters, bought it new in Nov of 2013. I can't believe how fast time is going!

    I agree with you. Although my truck is more than capable to beat the hell out it, I just can't bring myself. I got quads for that purpose. Being my daily driver and with the towing I do occasionally with it, I just can't afford to beat it up. I definitely love this truck, probably border line unhealthy love for it lol.

    I know I probably should've been protecting the underbody all along after seeing first hand what the road salt does to our plow/Salter trucks. I just haven't done it for whatever reason despite knowing I probably should. Even though I have yet to do it, I gotta say, it don't look too bad under there. I'm guessing parking in a garage must help a bunch. I'm always that 1 asshole on the road at crazy hours in the middle of a bad snow storm. Unfortunately not by choice, it's because I got called in to work. This time of year is my busy season. Trust me, theres many times I wish the truck could just sit 1 out, but then again, that means less mods if I did that.

    Yeah I kinda feel living where I do in NJ and seeing firsthand the effects on our salt trucks the corrosion it wreaks on them, that I should've been applying a fluid film since I hope to keep my truck forever. I've seen salt eat through metal bodies in just a handful of years from being brand new. It's crazy the damage salt can wreak. Last I checked there's a guy a little south from me that professionally applies it but he wasn't sure my truck would fit on his lift. He's actually supposed to get back to me from a month or 2 ago.

    Good luck on the Lexus, no rush, but can't wait to see the final product. I appreciate both of you guys and your kind words toward myself and my truck. Keep in touch fellas.
