    Sadly, the press has a new hero to trot out before the public. Ratings count far more than journalistic integrity, and we can rest assured there will be more copycats in the future. The number of pictures showing the dead in the street proves this. This snivelling coward should be addressed as such and his stain on humanity should not carry his name. His personal details should never be known. Refer to him as "The cowardly micropenised killer" and let public disdain push him, and his ilk, back into the dark places where they belong. By giving him fame, the press is culpable in every death.

    No, unlike the first responders (whose names will be forgotten by the time the news airs) his name will stay front and center until ratings drop. A few "Inquiring Minds" feel the need to feed their buzzard reflex, but the common American simply wants to know that they can feel safe once again. That's something the modern press cannot abide. Fear sells, and "If it bleeds, it leads" is the new name of the game. Gone are the days when Saturday morning cartoons and the occasional sex reference in a commercial were the television harbingers of doom for the future.
