Mass shooting at Las Vegas Strip

    Live press conference started just now by Clark Co Sheriff Joe Lombardo:

    Shooter was on the 32nd floor of Mandellay Bay, a local male resident of Mesquite, NV, put down by cops. Cops have him identified him, but not making public yet.

    That suspect's travel companion is being sought for questioning: Marilou Danley, Asian, female, 4'11", 111 lbs. Update: believed located.

    Also looking for 2 vehicles associated with suspect: a Hyundai Tucson, NV license # 114b40; and a Chrysler pacific touring, NV license 19d401

    20+ dead so far, including off-duty cops attending the Jason Aldean concert; at least 100 injured. There were NOT multiple shooters.

    Update: Deaths increased to 50, of which at least 2 are off-duty officers. At least one on-duty officer is among those critically injured. At least 400 wounded, transported to hospital. Worst mass shooting in American history, outside of war.

    The name of the 64 year old male shooter has been released. I just refuse to share it or do anything else to further celebrity for acts like this.

    And... it's been confirmed, he went by suicide, not by cops.

    Loss of innocent life so sad....prayers for all those affected by this tragedy. For times such as these.

    Good job by LEO's stopping and eventually terminating the threat. And now the drive by news hounds will bark continuously nonstop with is the head dead yet spin. :annoyed:
    Vote starved politicians from all sides will surely weigh in on mass media and the boob tube as to make sure they never let a horrific tragedy go to waste.
    Just let Law Enforcement do their job and gather collect evidence and the facts.

    Hard to think about. How does one person with no history of mental illness (that we know of), no criminal records (in NV) no social media posts, manifestos, etc. and looks like he lives comfortably just plans an attack like this and kill innocent people? And to be so premeditated? Will keep waiting for facts to come out of this tragedy. Gotta make sure all Las Vegas forum member are good too.

    Thanks Adam. What’s scary is several years ago they held a different type of festival at the same location as the shooting and our family went. It could have just as easily been me as anyone else. In fact, they hold all types of festivals/gatherings at this location. I’m never going there again.

    There’s absolutely no cover out there either. I’m sickened at the blatant disregard for life people have now a days.
