    Here are the boxes:

It’s not that I didn’t like them, but wanted a hard tonneau and the boxes conflicted with the tonneau brackets.

I debated for a long time about getting a cap. Growing up I always thought they were so ‘old man’ but I guess now I’m almost an old man (37 sure feels old) I really like it. Perfect for what I use the truck for- hauling 150lbs of dogs.

Haha I felt the same way until I had one. I bought a Ranger years ago with a cap. I swore I'd take it off as soon as I got home. 1 trip to the dump not having to worry about trash flying out and I was sold on having a cap. I never took it off.

    No worries.

Hopefully someone local would like these. I'd like to get them out of my garage.

Hello from Calvert County. Looking to upgrade limited chrome grille to TRD pro grille with cement color match. Looks like a lot of Marylanders on here.

Also from Calvert. I took a gamble on an eBay color matched grille last year. Color ended up matching perfectly. I tried to sell my chrome grille for a while, but ended up trashing it. There were a lot of options for Pro grilles online, but I got a color matched limited grille to try something different. Very pleased with how it came out.

Cool, it was color matched bulge and surround with chrome insert? I would love to see a pic if you don’t mind sharing?

I did the same thing with a color matched bulge off ebay and the match was spot on.

Ebay no longer has the item listed but it was from this seller, looks like they are a dealer but don't have any currently up for sale: https://www.ebay.com/usr/bergstromtoyotascion

For my grill I went with this: https://www.truck-accessories-guy.c...cts/toyota-tundra-2014-current-trd-pro-grille

    Very pleased with both.

    Sure thing happy to help!

So, the hood bulge matched my black paint code and I sort of took a chance on the grill because in the preview image on that site, it’s pictured as matte black but in the detail page it shows as gloss black. The grill ended up being a perfect match to my 2016 black tundra. They may not carry other colors but it’s probably worth it to email them and ask.

I’ll add that, if you can get a matching paint code grill or hood bulge, do it. Way cheaper to do that than have a body shop try to paint the chrome (most won’t even attempt it).

I tried wrapping my hood bulge in a black vinyl I have that matches and it seemed impossible, for me at least. The grill might have been easier but I was happy not to have to try haha.

It seems easier to get the older pro color matched but then I’d have to relocate the sensor. Not sure if I’m up for all of that. I definitely like the look of the 2018+ TRD Pro grill. Just a lot of money from Ol Sparks.

Ahh yeah forgot you guys have to deal with that sensor, I overlooked your model year. Thankfully with my 2016 I didn't have that issue.

Feel like I've seen a few posts on here about relocating it and it didn't seem overly involved, albeit one more thing to deal with.

I like that, pavement princess! Mine runs kids everywhere and all over east coast in Spring and Summer for my son’s baseball. I’m still having difficulty letting the damn dog on my leather with our wet weather.

Yeah, good idea but I need a baby gate to keep that thing in the back. 25 lb dog thinks he is a co-pilot. Already went through a ton of leather wipes to clean his prints off all over the truck. I told my wife when I bought the truck the dog could definitely ride in the truck. Doh!

Anybody know any reputable Toyota master mechanics that do work on the side? I am very particular about who I let work on my vehicles. I just got my truck back from the dealer for the last free oil change and found oil spilled everywhere and tools still under the hood when I got home. I swear, you can’t trust anybody’s work nowadays.

I know a Honda master tech that does side work....doesn't help though. I know a bunch of guys on the Tacoma forum recommend a shop in the gambrills/crofton area that work on Toyotas mostly and they really like them. Let me see if I can get the name of it from those guys

When I had my Tacoma I had these guys do an alignment and install an ECBS wheel bearing bushing to stop some vibrations after I put my own lift on. They got it dead on with the alignment and seemed used to aligning lifted trucks properly: https://hightechautoandtruck.com/

Bit of a hike, so I look forward to following this and even potentially using someone more local and not a big name shop.

The shop a lot of the Tacoma world guys use is Extra Mile Performance in Odenton. I've never used them but they all have good things to say about them.
