I wish. She wants to hold on to it. If we did we wouldn't get much for it.

cheaper than the deavers actually. plus, i'll just drive over the hill and pick them up. maybe see if they'd throw them on the truck so i won't have to worry about what to do with the deavers after getting them off the truck.

Do it! those things are back breakers.
I dont have the benefit of a lift yet. I've been doing them on the ground for the longest time. I'm hoping we get a lift soon at the new shop.

ha. that's a bit of an understatement. i put them on in my driveway and i was cussing more than @4x4_Angel and her sister, @nystareshatrin, combined. the fedex guy was also very unhappy with me when he delivered them and i try very hard to keep him and the ups guy on my good side. :D

@dcsleeper408 @smslavin do you guys both think that once you have a good idea of what your constant weight will be in the rear, to have alcan build a pack is the best route?

I’m researching as much as I can for the best avenue to go when the truck drawers, bedslide, BAMF rack and RTT are on full time. Im a big fan of spending money once if I can!

yea, i do. i should have just gone the custom route from the beginning but i wasn't entirely sure about the weight of the truck. alcan does good work but atlas is also a possibility. deaver will also build you a custom pack. @osidepunker went that route.

i don't feel like i made a mistake though. this whole thing has been a huge learning process. you may want to spend some time reading through this...

I can't really say. My bed weight fluctuates as I drive the truck mostly everyday. I am also thinking about a whole different route down the road instead of the rack and tent setup, or just figure out a way to lighten that portion up without compromising my loadout.
@smslavin has a better idea of his static weight, so custom alcans are a great option. His kings will give him some user adjustability, and if its not I'm sure some custom valving would help too.

there is a guy here who got custom leaf pack from some place in TX. He was doing his move to AK. He seemed happy with it and the leaf pack handles the load very well. I don't remember the brand.
he has a black gen2 with a topper + heavy duty bumpers.

Took this straight out the container. Race team is getting it ready for Pikes Peak.
Sadly I won’t be towing it around this time. Just got to bring it out load it up and drop it off to the shop.

badass truck man, have you considered adding diff locks or does the combination of 4x4 with A-TRAC, airing down, good tires provided you with enough traction? Been debating if I should add diff locks to my mods list or not

    Thanks.
Yeah I would add a locker in the future, also with gears. I haven't needed it yet, but it was nice to have in my first gen tacoma.
If you can afford it and some new gears I would do it. If you tow stock gears should be fine-depending on what tire size you run.

@TRD15559 has his ARB air locker in. I think he only used it once in DV and he was just testing it.
