@Pudge I'll take how ever many of the jugs you can fit in a box.

I agree that repeat customers have priority :bucket::amen:

I made homemade blueberry buttermilk pancakes this morning with what I believe to be the last of our homemade bacon. For some strange reason I kept thinking of this thread.

I've been following along since the beginning, like last year, just lacking anything interesting to contribute.

Do you ship up to Canada? I'm not sure what the laws of that would be if anything. Just figure throw a little support over to a fellow Tundra if possible.

Cooked til 130 am last night and made about 6 gallons.
Got out there around 9 today and started splitting more wood. Was going along pretty good then the rain and snow came so we took a break.
During the break we went and collected 350 gallons of sap haha. So it was time to fire up and boil.

My brother was cooking when my buddy came by with his huge log splitter with a 4 day wedge and hydraulic log lifter. This thing is bad ass I'll have to get some pics.
Anyway he was showing me how to use it, got through a few logs and he took off so I was running it. First log I did, slipped off the table and landed on my foot and smashed my toe. Thrn I proceeded to put on my steel toe boots which I should have had on but I changed into mucks to collect sap. Then I split wood for 3 more hours.
It may be broken but all I know is it hurts like a SOB. Nail bed is all full of blood which I'm about to drive a hot needle in to drain. wish me luck! Gonna be a long week on this busted toe

Machine like this, with a log like that, that's what got my big toe today.

I had some of this great syrup on Pancakes this morning! By far my favorite syrup.
How many gallons of sap does it take to make a gallon of syrup?

    Thanks Warren!
It takes about 50 gallons of sap to make a gallon of syrup. That takes about hour to collect and 2 hours to cook.

It feels ok right now thanks Jim. I haven't been walking on it much yet though. We'll find out soon. Need to head over to do some maple stuff in a little while.

So it's 34 degrees and raining. Sap is barely flowing. Was going to use today to bottle up some syrup. Between the weather, my toe and my daughter likely being completely miserable watching me bottle syrup for 4 hours...im skipping out today. Will try to work on it during the week. Sorry guys.

Another slow dap day. We really need a few cold nights in a row or the season will close quickly.
I got about 75 gallons today and cooked it. Spent the rest of the day splitting and stacking about a cord of wood.

Sorry @Pudge about the toe :(
Take it easy, we don’t want you getting injured or killed over syrup.

I mean who are we kidding. Cut that toe off and get to work

No, seriously. Take care bud :D

Haha well Today was about 75 gallons of sap from 150 taps. Far cry from the 300-450 gallons a day from 2 weeks ago. Took only an hour or 2 to get the sap and 3 hours to cook it. Spend the rest of the day splitting wood. Did this all while my daughter was at school.

The toe is good. I stuck a hot needle though my nail to drain the blood/relieve the pressure. Was a new man Monday.

    Hey Ron
Toe is all good. If this weather doesn't get better we may be looking for "new ground" because our current taps give up on us. We do have more trees locally that we can drill :)
Steel toe boots have been in full effect. No more mucks for me if my day involves splitting wood at all, and today did. I did about a half cord today.
We have almost as much syrup as last year but if the weather turns for the better we could be looking at doubling up. Let's hope for some freezing cold nights here in CT
