    Thanks!!

I'm definitely looking forward to this upgrade. I'm confirmed for 11/4 for the install day still. I will make sure to take as many pictures as possible for those interested and certainly keep you all posted along the way.

They did a nice job with the packaging. Big box has the blower in it. The medium box has everything else.

I was able to use the RTD tool to scan my truck and submit the file to magnuson.
One of the steps was never prompted to me, #19 asking me to NOT scan/read the fuel control module (FSCM).
Right now, I just followed what was asked and submitted the file to magnuson. we will see what I get back and see if I need to rescan/reread to get the correct file to upload for install day.

edit - all is good. got my file back from magnuson and should be set for install day.

    Thanks!
I’m installing myself w my brother. He is a mechanic and I’m mechanically capable so going to make a day of it us two.

The install is fairly straightforward for these kits. I had to replace the starter on my x5 last year that will probably prove to have been more difficult. But I’ll circle back to this claim post install lol

    One last pre install update:
I re read through Magnusons installation instructions and decided to order new Intake Manifold gaskets and coolant bypass gaskets.
Didn't like the idea of re-using, regardless of the condition when removed and inspected, and certainly didn't like the idea of winging it real time and not having the gaskets on hand at the time of install.

So the final install list looks like:
    - Magnuson TVS2650 kit
    - Mishimoto Radiator Hoses, upper and lower
    - Radium PCV Oil Catch Can
    - OEM Waterpump and gasket
    - OEM Thermostat and housing
    - Innovate Boost Gauge
    - Innovate AFR

    MISC items:
    - New coolant bypass gaskets
    - New intake manifold gaskets
    - New ignition coil bolts
    - Toyota Coolant

Oil change performed yesterday 10/31 at 163,674 miles.

    Ready to go for Saturday.

Pictures to follow once I start up on Saturday.

I would need to run the numbers and can do that eventually but here is the rough breakdown

    Blower was 8095
    Gauges and pillar approx 600
Water pump and thermostat approx 200
    Coolant 60
    Gaskets and bolts 70
    Catch can 250
    Radiator hoses 120
    So what… about 9395

Still thinking about doing rear sway bar, koyo radiator, and traction bars. But one thing at a time.

Replace the rad with an oem unit. Too many issues with aftermarket units.

Yeah, that is what we (possibly you and I, but def a member on here - I'd need to go back and check) discussed earlier when going through the list of items to upgrade/refresh.
Ended up deciding to wait and monitor temps and performance with OEM Radiator.

Haha yeah it does. It went pretty smooth, all things considered. 163k on the truck so you never know. All is well and the truck is healthyyyyy. It’s quick and moves effortlessly. Very happy this far.
I’ll post a bunch more pictures of the steps and install. And a few irritating parts. But all went good!!

Hp tuners. Magnuson sent the tune. Might pay to have it custom tuned but for right now it works great. Pulls hard and feels strong.

Awesome, glad to hear it went off without a hitch and that you’re satisfied with it. There aren’t many other engines out there that many people would consider putting a 8k+ supercharger on with over 160k miles. A true testament to how awesome they are built.

Truck hits 10-11 psi at WOT.
Still need to calibrate the wideband. The numbers jump all over the place. I must not have done that right. Or at all. Need to iron out that.

    damn fun to drive now

Hey question, did you guys split the blower open and put the bottom half on first and then bolt the top part on ? Or am I seeing something different? I have the tvs1900 and it went on as one whole unit however it was very very heavy so was just wondering if you did as a weight saving thing and also to help with the intake gaskets or is it just how the directions said to do it ? Or hell maybe I'm not even seeing what I think I'm seeing lol

is it on a smaller pulley ? I thought stock was 8-9 psi. Also did you order directly from magnuson ? I’ve seen some shops offering same day shipping . Also if I end up buying one I’ll try to do a draggy test 60-90 run to see how much more passing power there is haha

yeah you have to split it to install. I’m sure it provided some nice weight savings. But there are four long bolts that get installed from the inside of the blower. Then you can put the top on with loctite and torque down[/QUOTE]

I ordered from SCOL. Arrived in about 4 weeks. Not sure about what other shops offer. Shipping was included in the cost of the kit when I purchased. I wasn’t in a rush so didn’t need same day shipping and I’m too far from those shops to pick up local.

oh there is instantly more passing power. Without even giving it much throttle.

stock pulley size on it. Just makes good boost. Not sure why more than the advertised

10-11 psi on the stock pulley!? What did they ship it with the wrong one on there? Lol best check your AFRs with a wideband.
