Desired intent may be for effects of sway bar on-road long travel.

If someone wanted it to handle well on the road, then why spend a bunch of money on a long travel kit???

The ground clearance has proven to be a non-issue. No one I’ve wheeled with who runs Camburgs kit has had an issue going anywhere everyone else went.
Hahaha @joonbug True, Alex also points out the uni-balls on Camburg kits aren’t stainless.

MT trucks aren't an issue either. It's not about if you can or can't. It's about how easy you want to make it on yourself

I have the TC kit with 3.0 3 tube 12” bypass shocks. Have to modify the kit for the 3.0 shocks. Works really well, motion ratio is almost perfect, but not enough travel to match LT front. Going to push the shock mounts through the bed and run 14” shocks.5384A3D6-BAE5-47E4-81A0-A3F1BB4F52ED.jpg

Do you have it bumped to prevent it from bottoming out when approaching full compression?

True, you could also run smaller tires and probably be fine but...
My only point was Camburg’s kit is proven and works. Anyone who runs it has a good setup.
If when doing my LT research I was able to get Camburg’s kit for a “hookup” price it would have been an easy decision.

He asked for opinions on the camburg kit. I gave him my opinion; the ground clearance sucks

Much better options out there in my opinion

Wouldn't this be the case for any fabricated box style lower or is the Camburg extra fat?

Camburg is extra fat and hangs extra low due to the oversized uniball they use (which also gets rusted because it's not ss steel)

TC boxed, Mazzula boxed, LSK boxed, Dirt King boxed, all of those have better ground clearance. And TC tubed has the best ground clearance of all the kits

Yes we both gave opinions. I didn’t say Camburg was the best option, just that it was a quality kit and I would have run it for the right price.
I don’t think we’re disagreeing here are we?

I disagree with you that its a "quality kit"

The uniballs are oversized. They cause the pivot point to be a lot lower than other kits which makes the ground clearance terrible.

The uniballs are made from a subpar material, they will rust quickly.

The boxed design is much bigger than it needs to be; making them very thick and further reducing the ground clearance.

I wouldn't put that kit on my truck if I found it for $1

Well we’re going to have to agree to disagree brother.
I understand your points but they weren’t deal breakers for me. The adjustable heim UCA’s are what sealed the deal for me with TC when i was LT shopping.
I do like the Camburg LCA heim attachments at the frame though.

Not worried. I’m enjoying my Camburg Long Travel.
I didn’t have any issues with ground clearance and having a blast running with my setup.

I got the Camburg kit and while I agree they're bulky as fuck (because Camburg never intended them to be used on rocks), they do have a slope to the face of the arms that help them slide over rocks as long as you don't care about gouging them to hell. I haven't gotten stock on my lowers yet. I dropped almost the full weight of the truck on one arm in this video and they're just fine..

    https://www.instagram.com/p/CBrnMPJgwf-/

I do wish I had gone with LSK sometimes though. The Camburg kit is just easier to work with for now.

I like how they solid mount just like my TC uca’s. No Unnecessary flex and no potential noise from poly bushings.

Flex is a good thing. Everyone gets wrapped around the axle trying to make everything solid. Just like shackles.

You need a little flex so you don't snap something on a hard hit

Everyone is snapping CVs on the LSK kit. I know of at least 3 incidents. Including one that happened last weekend
