I'm gonna be getting a tundra later this year and gonna throw on a ltk, i Haven't decided yet, I don't want anything crazy expensive, my limit would be about 5k so the pro comp kit looked pretty good because it has everything right there, I'm just curious why people seem to hate on it, it looks fine I don't understand why it's seen as inferior. If I'm missing something lemme know I honestly wanna learn because I don't wanna put 5k of phony on my truck. And please, have actual answers not just stuff like this "pro comp is shit dude " I want real pros and cons regarding the kit. As well if you have any other recommendations for a full kit please let me know id like to check em out! Thanks for reading my long ass post.

The procomp kit is made from solid cast metal and is very heavy and not very strong. It's marketed towards guys who rarely take their truck off road. Plus its core sales are dealer lots so its extreemly over priced for what you get.

Other kits from are made from boxed/plated steel and/or chromoly tube. They are lighter and very strong. They are made by companies who know that these kits will be abused off road in very demanding environments.

Also, I recommend the Total Chaos kit. All their kits are real-world tested in race environments like the Dakar Rally and other.

The tube kit is 4130 chromoly, has the best ground clearance of all the kits out there, and I have personally beat the sht out of my kit and it holds up. They also have great customer service and the kit is extremely easy to maintain.

Maybe a built razr. But I got a ride in a razr at the Cinder in AZ and there was no way it could keep up with me

Yeah a trailer is a pain and it's another money pit, but I need to keep my Tundra clean and not break it for work/clients, if I break the Rzr put it on the trailer, bring it home and I'm still driving the Tundra to work

I drive a lexus to work. The Truck was on blocks all last week but no big deal. I can't imagine daily driving a truck that you take on real trails

And it certainly isn’t cheap to add windshields, sealed doors with windows, and the rear window. Have seen pricey heater setups but no AC ones yet either.
