WOW! That may be a heat treat issue. What are you running as a full time load? And YOU ARE CORRECT... THOSE BAD BOYS ARE FLAT! or FAF!

I don’t have anything in the back, never had more than a dirt bike a few times and I was deployed for a year. Other than that it has been a city kitty.

Regardless of your payload… those should never be static flat! I guarantee you it’s a manufacturing issue. Spring steel typically has a memory when heat treated properly. For those to be flat and riding on the bumper stop which is now doing all of the work of the springs is craziness!

HELL YES! I am not finger pointing but sometimes something is missed in the manufacturing process regardless of quality checks, etc. I would call them with advice and politely ask for their advice and assistance regarding the current state of the “new” springs.

Drivers side is bolted at the hangers. I was gonna do one side at a time but I needed to move the axle a smidge so pulled the passenger side

Not a good write-up kinda guy so I'll just post up what I ran into that was notable:

I used 2 jacks and 4 jackstands. I played musical jacks and jackstands to support the weight when and where I needed it most. The original plan was to do one side at a time but I ran into a problem lining up the leaf pack pin in the perch and needed the other side free to "persuade" the axle to go where I needed it. When lowering the axle be sure to free up the E-cable and other lines that run down from the canister (used bungees to keep them out of the way). My anti-sway bar mount was in the way on one of the bolts so I pulled the top one which gave me more slack anyway:

    20211204_131035.jpg 20211204_131042.jpg 20211204_130615.jpg 20211204_131140.jpg 20211204_130629.jpg

If you have Coachbuilder shackles like I do, you should be able to just remove the lower bolt instead of the whole shackle. On the install, go for the front bolt first then the rear. Much easier to push the shackle towards the leaf spring.

Not sure what else you'd like to know @Tundra234 but here's the finished product

Perfect....thank you. I just wanted to make sure you didn't have any issues. I saw that someone posted that theirs were too long. Mine are being made with only 1/2 inch of lift. I have Toytec shackles that will provide the other 1.5.

I'm sure you bought the U bolts... they're a huge upgrade over what I had (Readylift) so they're probably even more of an upgrade over OEM. If you run into a snag just hit me up and I'll help ya out.

I have more pics just didn't wanna pic dump so if you wanna see something else chances are I have a pic

Yes I will be getting them. Lew said they they will contact me for ubolt measurements once the springs are done. I was going to order the 9 inch from Toytec but wasn't sure if they are long enough.
I just hope ours doesn't flatten out like seniramsu's did.

My Alcans came in Friday while I was out of town camping. Saw the security video of the UPS guy stashing the springs behind my trashcans under the carport. Kind of random but they were still there when I got home. I have a SmartCap and carry a TON of gear in the back, on top of towing a smaller travel trailer very frequently. Can't wait to see what these springs and Coachbuilder shackles do. Installing this week.

Probably a really dumb question, but after watching tons of install videos and not looking at the springs very closely yet.... are the 2 spring sets identical as far as driver side, passenger side? I assume so but you know.

Please post pics. I ordered mine from Alcan the day before Thanksgiving and he said 5 to 6 weeks. Mine will be used with my Toytec shackles. I believe they are a left and right. @texasrho83 just installed his Alcans over the weekend.

I'll know im close when they ask for ubolt measurements. I'm not sure why they don't have the measurements from stock ubolts as I would imagine that most orders are replacing stock spring that have worn out. This thread is the issue that I have with mine. https://www.tundras.com/threads/drivers-side-leaf-spring-help.98375/

Install day. I confirmed with Lew at Alcan that the Alcan stickers go towards the rear but that left/right doesn't matter on a Tundra. I have everything ready to go.

    Like butta.

I feel like I'm riding on stock springs but have the confidence in knowing it's a major upgrade
