From what I have read it’s a toss up some people can get them aligned properly without UCA’s and others can’t.

i also don't do off-roading, only the occasional dirt road, so i went with the readylift 3/1 kit and had toyota install it and no complaints from me. I did not get new UCAs. Bought the kit from Amazon about $100 cheaper than the readylift site. I know a lot of folks look down on lift/level kits but no complaints here.

The 255 tires will work on your new wheels, but it might drive you crazy until you get more aggressive tires haha. Sounds like the "all at once mod bug" is trying to hit you.

In terms of the lift/level, it really depends on your use and budget. If you can afford it, I would go with the better shocks/coilovers to lift the truck. I put a 2" spacer on mine and haven't had any issues, but when I replace the shocks I will be going with a coilover kit most likely. You are looking in a large price difference in parts alone (labor shouldn't be too much different because you are pulling the shocks and setup either way).

Spacer ~ $50-$150 depending what you get
Bilstein 5100's ~ $240 for fronts only (what you need to level)
    Coilovers ~ $850 and up

The Bilstein struts are probably going to be your best option for the money.

I think it will always be recommended(ideally) to add UCAs. I didn't at this point and alignment was fine. I will note that I do plan to add UCAs at some point though.
