I'm on my phone so I can't check what is this anything like the spring under kit that they sell?
I only knew or heard of one person installing the camburg spring under kit with the upper shock mounts.... and from what I recall the upper shock mounts cracked at the welds. Might be wrong, but I think that's what I remember...

lol your getting parts and stories confused...this is their SOA kit but relocates both upper and lower mounts...in my build thread i broke one of the upper mounts..camburg replaced it, i fixed some stuff on my suspension to prevent it from happening again and its working amaazzzzingly now

    Nothing new....lol

    Thanks for the clarification :)
I thought it was you, wasnt sure.

    Side note:
Doesnt look like the currently available SUA kit from Camburg includes upper shock relocation mounts.

Can you tell us what you did to prevent the issue from happening again?
It looked pretty bad when it busted. I wouldn't want to go through that!

Does anyone have information on OME Dakar Leaf packs? Toytec has them for 500$ for the set. I tow a 7000lb Travel Trailer. This will only be my second season towing it. I bought a used 2013 Tundra. Who ever used it before obviously towed with it and the OEM leaf springs go flat to inverted slightly without the airbags being inflated. I only want the airbags to augment the load not carry it! Am I wrong for thinking this? This is my third Tundra. I've had various suspension set ups. I'm going to go with the Bilstein 6112's up front at top setting or 2nd to highest setting (They ride amazing.) For the rear on my last build I just did an add-a-leaf from toytec on the rear with toytec shackles set at 1" (OME nitro shocks on the rear).
-----The rear end on this build is important to me now that I will be towing with my family 3-4 weekends a month! PRECIOUS CARGO. So I am thinking OME Dakar springs on the rear/ OME nitro shocks rear/ and a Coach builder Shackle/ Either 1" or 2"....... Any recommendations? Any gaps I'm missing? I have a CrewMax with hard topper/ and when we tow I've got the bed jammed with wood/ water/ fuel/ generators....500-800 lbs easy.....ADVICE from ANY of you guys with real experience is MUCH appreciated !!!:mudding::plane:

If not the OME can you guys recommend something else in the same price range? I definitely can't afford something like ICON offers!

Oh snap! I didn't think about that! Just went outside and checked and the leaves are almost totally flat when unloaded./ So I'm guessing new springs required

I would stay away from ome less than a year on my pack and the pass side is pretty much inverted and the drivers side is flat !!!!!

I was thinking the same thing that Ron, @Watt maker suggested, a re-arch by a reputable company in your area. Or, tow your trailer down to Valley Springs in AZ, they seem to be getting some rave reviews.

so my theory was it was a bad piece of metal or bad welds, a lemon, not a testament to camburgs quality...camburg said my bypass had to be bottoming before my bump was and thus creating a ton of upward pressure on that upper mount causing it to break....my suspension was cycled during install so i didnt think this was the case. so we stripped and re-cycle the rear suspension, the pass side which didnt break was fine, atleast a 1/4in of shock shaft showing on full bump...the driver side which was the effected one, was really close. maybe a 1/16th of shock shaft showing...so we added bump plates to the axle housing so each side has 1/2-3/4 in of shock shaft showing when the bump is fully compressed

This might be a really cool upgrade. Gotta wait and see what the numbers are with the ADS bypasses when they arrive.

I haven't been paying attention to the forums lately so I apologize but I haven't gone through this whole thread. But I wanted to let you guys know that I am working on a solution for heavy trucks. The problem is that stock leafs are only 2.25" wide and its difficult to make leaf packs that hold a lot of weight with leafs that are thin like that. So I had Deaver make me a set of 3" wide leafs. I provided an exact axle weight (3960lbs rear, 8120 lbs total weight) and Jeff built me packs that will ride perfect at that weight. From there I can do plus/minus 200-400 lbs and they will still ride ok. DMZ is going to cut off my front leaf hanger and fabricate a new one. He will be providing a kit that will work for both mid travel and long travel setups. All you have to do is get your truck weighed and have custom packs made. Let me know if you have any questions

I seen this on instagram! I can't wait to see this setup!! I really want to see the front hanger that DMZ will conjur up.
Still using the same shackle you are using now with the current SUA?

The LT shackle is a two piece shackle. Deaver includes 3" x 5/8" poly bushings. So all that needs to be done on the shackle is to add some collars to the upper pivot to work with the frame bushing, which is 2.25".

New front hanger welded or bolted to the frame (I chose welded)

New spring plate and spring perch for LT. For MT trucks, just need a new ubolt plate

Thinking about Dakars to go with the King front and rears I'm ordering. I have a camper shell 24/7/365 and on trips will have a sleeping platform, camping and/or hunting gear for 2-4 people, full 65qt cooler, and a frontrunner rack on the shell with an awning.

    Thoughts?

This is what ARB Technical department sent me when I gave them my guess on the weight of my truck.

    Charles,

The CS055R springs for the rear of the Tundra are considered a medium load ( 0lbs of accessory weight up to the GVW) and have a spring rate of 205lbs/inch on the primary stage and 330lbs/inch on the overloads. If you need more capacity we do make an extra leaf if you need a bit more spring rate. The D28XL extra leaf will add about 20% more spring rate, which you will most likely need.

    Hope this helps you.

Great. Still trying to figure mine out. My ARE top weighs about 150 lbs. Then I got a cargo glide sitting on top of drawers. My weight is somewhere between 500 and 800 lbs. I am going to get the truck weighed in the next couple of weeks before deciding on spring set up.

good idea. I made a lot of mistakes and wasted money because I made assumptions on my weight. I finally spent $11 at a CAT scale and found that I was 1000 lbs more then I thought I was.

    FYI

My upper shackles bushings (frame bushings at the rear) were trashed. Completely shredded. Toyota wants almost $300 for bushings.

I am working with Energy Suspensions on replacements. Should be less than $50 but I am waiting on cost and availability information.
