    The T-100 was Toyota's sad attempt at an Fullsize truck. It led to the first gen Tundra.

    I never owned one being that it wasn't much bigger than the Tacoma I had with the same motor.

    One owned by a guy I know.

    Somewhere is the deep recesses of the internet is a build thread on this T-100. It is absolutely gorgeous. He put a '05 Tundra V-8 in it.

    A guy I work with has a blue 97 T100. The body, mostly bedside panels and rockers are rusted through and have been for about 10 years. Recently he found that the frame is rusted through in several areas, I'm talking holes you can stick your fist through. One area looks like its hanging by a thread and is about to buckle. He took if to a fab shop and the guy said he could put in some repair patches, box in some areas, and make it road worthy but its gonna cost too much, so I think he's going to scrap it. Unless he can get a replacement frame, the truck is a deathtrap even with the proposed frame repairs.

    Just replaced camshaft position sensor on my off days, cranks right up now, slowly saving money for other parts, no more mods for Tundra

    Like I said on the first page it was a failed fullsize but technically by the dimensions it was what would now be considered a midsize and so it was ahead of it's time. At least that's my positive spin on it.

    @because_wumbo-truck

    Where could I find the electrical connections or connectors, like for the injector clips female end and for the camshaft position sensor female end it cracked on the side, so it's zip tied tight so it won't come off,

    I'm not familiar with that part. Maybe check some junk yards for Tacomas and 4runners with the 3.4

    Don't know if you're still looking for this, but when mine went out on my T-100 I randomly grabbed a few from a junkyard that looked similar and one from the sienna worked great. It didn't fit perfectly in the factory spot so it hangs just a little, but no more cel!

    Anybody even swap the ECU to 97+ to run the TRD supercharger? I keep hoping I'll find a cheap 97 or 98 t100 with a 5vz and manual but I haven't been so lucky.

    There's been lots of talk about it, but I don't think anyone has actually done it.

    Here’s my old ‘93 with the 3.0 litre and 5 speed manual. Was a great truck until I smashed it up in 2017. I hauled my camper and lots and lots of firewood with it :)

    There is an older man who lives around the corner from me who has an immaculate garage kept white t-100 and I told my wife if I ever see it out for sale I’m going to buy it no question.

    This thread certainly got me to take the bait! Been a long time lurker here from the northwest but it wasn't until I saw some of ya'alls pictures that that nostalgia kicked in.
    This was my last/latest T-100 I owned before getting my 05' DC since my little guys just got too big for the T.

    These solid-framed guinea pigs had a lot of what was best about Toyota's from 80's-90's and little of anything else. You had to go for the 5VZ no matter what year (95+) and only the 97+ if you wanted a SC, otherwise they were all fantastic. The 96' in these photos was my all around family mobile, work rig/tow rig/wood hunter...etc and I still REALLY miss it, lots of memories with her.
