Couple shots from two weeks ago. Second session took a bad line into a cluster of folks and my speed outweighed my skill. Was either crush the guy in front or toss it. I clearly tossed it lol. I'm fine, bikes fine. Couple Vortex parts to replace and patching the shit HotBodies the bike has on it, suit is in Kentucky getting patched back together currently...be back May 14th for another Summit session. :bananadance:

Edit: first pic is after the lowside. Bike was fine to roll another 6 sessions minus some ugly marks on the clutch side. Also attaching my new Facebook profile pic because I like to laugh at myself.

If anyone cares to see the full progression of shots...they're quite fucking hilarious and I'll post them.

Damn, man. Glad you're okay and in high spirits about it. Lots of folks would let this ruin their day.

Hell no. Happened before will happen again. Spent lunch getting it fixed up and sent it all afternoon after it. Shit happens...keep it moving.

I have photos trapped on my lacie drive of my buddy Garrett eating shit on his 999 and me going around the turn just behind him looking at him like ‘tf dude?’ Looked like he got tackled by an invisible linebacker, no reason. He high sided and was like ‘that god damned bike flicked me like a booger’

That life alert pic you posted made me legit lol

Brought this home today. Trailered it because I traded the SxS for it, so all I've done is walk it on and off the trailer. Barely made it to my eye appointment!

Weather was close to that here today too. Good thing was I overcame my urge to procrastinate and rode the V-strom around in circles in my work parking lot yesterday evening, enough to start getting used to it, and confirm it was worthy of putting a plate on and ordering tires for. Sure feels nimble compared to the old XJ1100.

Less than 3 weeks to go to my road test, I hope the weather warms up so I can get some more seat time in.

Woodcraft replacements on and adjusted to my liking. Vortex rearset backing plate will be here tomorrow. Finished fiberglass repairs, glass bondo, body filler, and letting the putty glaze settle. Will sand this weekend and spray it sometime next week. Back to Summit May 14th.

I have a pair of Big Ear custom ear plus with speakers in them. They are $400, but you can plug them right into your Senna or Cardo and have the best of both worlds

Haven't had time to watch it yet, but definitely plan to! I was kinda frustrated he did the NC700, or is it a 750? Anyway, I hunted through those videos to see if he ever did a 500X, so thank you for the tag on that! :fistbump:

Finished this one a little bit ago. I'm honestly shocked that he rated it as high as he did in the end. He didn't really love it or hate it, which is it's appeal, so I expected mid to lower mid ranking. Pleasantly surprised.

I'm happy with it. It's an alternating hitch for them, and it's the only way to have the schedule that I love. If I want to get off nights I have to go back to a normal schedule or 4/10 and I have to go into an on call rotation. No pay increase either. Having every other week off is worth way more to me.

I bought the very first Ninja model, the 250 way back in my college days, and like a first love, a middle age crisis makes me want something similar again.
