I'm sure there are other riders on here so lets see them!

This is basically my daily driver and track toy, its a 2009 KTM 690SMC. Bought her new in 09 and have almost 20k miles on it now.

Well this WAS one of my crotch rockets. Till two...border jumpers...in a stolen car ran a red light and t-boned me...and then ran and hopped the fence. I went head first thru the windshield. Compound ankle break and a hole in my helmet but I ended up ok [IMG]

Had a couple gixxers after that. Now I stick to my desert couch

since guys are posting their old bikes, I'll post my old baby too...
My 2002 CBR954RR before I laid it down and broke my femur. I loved that bike. I sold it after I laid it down and decided to stick to dirt for a while. I can't find any after pictures of the bike at the moment..

    Here's my bike.
'06 CBR600RR. Yoshi exhaust, frame sliders and a few other little personalization touches. Good first streetbike for me, I came from the dirt and sold my 04 TRX450R after moving here to Nevada and being too busy to take the quad out. Went a year without a toy and it was killing me to not have one, so switched over to try a street bike. So far I like it a lot (can't beat having fun, freedom, and 45mpg commuter) but I know I'll end up back in the dirt in a couple years again.

And my BUILT honda that I sold. Still miss it!

Here is an older picture of my 08 Yamaha R6S. Since this pic I have added a new exhaust and pulled off the stickers except the Yamaha at the bottom.

    IMG_6879.jpg

I am actually considering selling this because i just don't get to ride it as much as I would like to. I ride it to and from work during the summer months but in about 2 months my work is getting a new office that will require no highway to get there. Almost not worth jumping on the bike if i cant get up to speed. If i sell it I will be looking for a either an FJ40 or 1st gen Tacoma to mod for offroad.

Well my trailer weighs around 350 loaded, I run a car tire on the rear for traction and braking, but as long as you have trailer brakes you should be fine LOL

The top picture was my most recent, a 2014 FXDB Streetbob. She had a cafe fairing, 14" Westcoast T-bars, FXDX-T rear shocks and Thunderheader and Arlen Ness Big Sucker when I finished. In August of this year, a lady broadsided me, crushing my pelvis and separated my spine from my pelvis. I just started walking a month ago. Number 2 was my YZ 125, bored out to 145, werks pipe and silencer, number 3 was me on my 04 750, and finally my 2012 R1.

Damn dude. Pretty bad but glad your recovering and back on your feet. Guessing you have a long road ahead of you still though with physical therapy. How's the pain? Do you think you will get back on a bike?

i am going to be medically retired from the military. It's dpressing, but at least I am alive for my wife and children. Honestly, the pain is still really nasty, but I am currently on Percocet and will be for sometime. I am trying to take it easy with the narcotics. I don't want a dependency issue. As far as getting back on a bike, I am not sure. I have been riding since I was 8 years old so it definitely is a part of who I am. However, because this was caused by someone else, it really puts into perspective how vulnerable you are and it is always the other person who does not see you. That scares me. I do not know yet if I will ride again.

First- thank you, again for your selfless act of serving.
Secondly, I get it - 100%. My dad is a pain pill addict, and it has ruined several relationships- including how close he and I were. It's a nasty, nasty addiction...I had knee surgery in Sept, and was scared shitless of pain pills...i took less then the surgeon advised...I guess in my mind, I would rather tough out the pain as much as possible and only use them when absolutely needed ....as I fear becoming him.

    Wishing you a speedy recovery!
