sherco.jpgNew Sherco LongRide I just picked up. @FirstGenVol I use the Harbor Freight hitch hauler on this and other lighter bikes, works great for me.

I have one, not Harbour Freight's specifically, but similar. It works for smaller bikes. I have had a KLX300 on there for a 2hour trip and it did fine. I have tried the KLR650 on it and did not feel safe going around the block.

Ha…it is a full decal kit and this one is in matte finish where the first one was the below but a gloss. The gloss just doesnt look as factory as the lower sheen types. Always gravitate towards black but thought might change it up a bit. The color has many scratching their heads what is until next to it. Here is a dark kit pic sitting on the ramp. (It is a Neodyne one person load ramp).

Tundra inspired, installed Fox shocks on the Triumph, nice ride improvement, easy click dial adjustments.

I am envious of you all, for a good part of my adult life bikes were my only transport, I had to get rid of more than 20 of them when I was waiting for my visa to be approved.
First thing I did when I got my US driving licence was to get the endorsement for bikes but I'm sad to say that I haven't yet got a bike (7 years is the longest I've gone without since I hit the age of 13). The standard of driving on this side of the pond is so atrocious, more so in FL than SC, that I don't think it would be long before someone took me out.

When I first moved here I did look briefly for work in a bike shop but I'd spent so long as my boss working on my own that most small shops that I looked at weren't ready for a loner Brit grease monkey.

So, as I can't give you pics of my current ride here's a pic of one of the two 900 Honda Fireblades that I owned. One was standard, this one though I gave the full hoonigan treatment - chucked all the unnecessary bits like the airbox and the fuel pump into a box with 5lb of surplus wiring and sensors, removed the limiter and tweaked quite a few other bits... :D

That looks like a whole lotta fun and surprisingly more affordable than some MTN bikes.

Howz the throttle response on that lil' 4stroke?

Sounding Knob Fire Tower just outside of Monterrey Virginia. If anyone else knows the area, we also went up Reddish Knob...the hard way.

A small group of us ride that area couple times a year. Usually stay at Smokehole Lodge or another close by at Seneca Rocks and ride from Davis ti well South of Cass Railroad and used to always hit Reddish Knob but that lane getting to the top seems to get worse every year. Lots and of good riding in the area.

I know those areas very well. I've stayed at Smoke Hole Cabins a few times and up at Canaan in the off season. We came down the paved side from Reddish and it wasn't too bad. Of course that was compared to coming up the very un-paved side...:bikewhoops:

If you're looking for an alternative place to stay on the Blue Ridge side check out Penmerrly Farm in Greensville, VA. The owners are great and its very moto friendly.

It’s geared pretty well, and I’m only 150lbs dressed so it does good for what it’s made for. Definitely not built for speed! I like how quiet it is and it’s pretty much a cross between a MTN bike and a dirt bike. More power would be nice, but then you’d get the weight that comes with it.

2017 Africa Twin - manual shift. Don't see the point to DCT. Slightly mod'd with engine guards, skid plate, Happy Trails panniers, better pegs, tires, and side stand, and a center stand. If I was to design a bike for Colorado, it would look a lot like this one!

I still can't believe that Suzuki is ending the L-Twin and going parallel. That motor has been freaking bullet proof.

Suzuki motorcycles are a small fraction of their businesses overall. I’m sure they’re just going wherever they think they can nab some sales and stay up to date with EPA garbage and whatnot. The days of vehicles in general being great are pretty much over unfortunately haha.

@Ckatz53 how's the wrist treating you? You still on track for being mostly recovered by the end of the year?

@FlyingWolfe how's your husband's shoulder healing up? Is he itching to get out on the Tenere?
