Direction of cut. Dark is bent over towards you, light is bent away. Don't cut it like a golf course either. Pisses me off when the neighbor cuts his grass on the lowest setting he has.

I've got several neighbors that do that. It's an annoying trend and it looks terrible with certain types of grass. Grow that shit long and lush!

I mow mine at 3. 3.5 is the highest. I think he mows at 1.5 and he has a low tire so it's not even. He hasn't spoken a word to me the ten or so years he has lived there. :( oh well.... his loss...:bananadead:

That won't grow down here. Been thinking of Zoysia tho as a change since Bermuda dominates.

I don't know what I have. Green stuff, that's it. Yeah green and it grows, mow, repeat. Narrow leaf plantain, and clover mostly with a spattering of dandelion :D

You need some trees! Sorry, I love trees and wish I had more than just my rough 1/4 acre. That steams from my dad and the plot we grew up on.

Lol. There's around 40 acres of trees real close that's close enough for me. That way I don't have to rake them in the fall.:D

:jellydance: I let mine go:pout:. I need to redo sprinkler layout for better coverage. Landscaping needs redone and a new porch poured. AC set me back this year, so instead of tackling that this year looks like next year hopefully. I need a hardier grass than what's there now as well.

Have spent the last couple years working with our local lawn guy to help in grow better. I told him,"make it grow green and lush, we'll give it the hair cut". Wish I had before picks, the cracks would open up enough to look under the skirts of the Asians :rofl::rofl:

Alright guys, I need all advice on the eradication and total annihilation of.... crabgrass.

Turns out my entire front yard is crabgrass. I want it gone. I've heard that it takes several months to kill it all off. Covering it in plastic so no light can get to it. Kill it in the summer before it seeds in the fall so that it wont grow in the spring. Half of my backyard is covered in this stuff, but most of it is dead'ish. I dug a bunch of it up yesterday and sprayed some Ortho Weed-B-Gone, hopefully that keeps it from coming back.

I need any first hand, real experience and information you guys have with this crap. From what store bought weed and crabgrass killer that actually works to how much gas I should pour on it and watch it all burn. Preferably the former.
