I finally got the LED bulbs installed tonight and they are exactly what I was looking for. They're noticeably brighter, but in a functional way rather than just being obnoxiously bright. The bulbs have a bit of additional throw/range straight back on them which is useful. But I dont really need straight-back illumination. Where these things shine is on the lateral spill (like at 45 degree angles out from the rear of the truck). There is tons of useful light where there wasnt previously so there is a good bit more visibility backing up while turning in the dark or if you're backing up on a narrow trail with thick brush on either side of you.

Hey are you still able to adjust the headlights with these from the switch inside the cab?

Does the headlight adjustment inside the cab work with these bulbs?

You can adjust the bulbs from inside the cab with no issue. New bulbs don't affect the mechanism that moves the bulbs up and down.

So, can anyone confirm these work with no issues on the 2021 CM? About to pull the trigger.

Has anyone upgraded the factory LED bulbs for something brighter? High beams are great, one of the brightest I have come across, the low beams LEDs are just good, not great, so just exploring options.

Hey guys, read through this thread a couple times and bought the Auxbeams. Installed the headlights today, no issues. Just waiting til it gets dark.

Tried to install the fogs and I could not push them in far enough to get the 3 tabs to engage in their slots. If you look at side shot images of the two bulbs you can see that the distance from the tabs/flange to the gasket/base is much less on the Auxbeam compared to OEM.

Did I get the wrong bulbs (S1-H11), or do I need to pull my skirt up, and push harder?

Make sure you have the tabs oriented correctly and push and turn. Those are the correct bulbs.

Thanks for the quick reply. There are 3 tabs - I was trying to install the bulbs so that the LEDs would face out the sides, and one of the tabs would be at 12:00. Pretty sure this is the only way.

Looking into the fog assembly from the front, I could see all 3 tabs insert into their respective slots, but I needed another 1 or 2mm to push them in far enough to lock into place.

This is for a 2019 CM SR5, if it matters.

For the money, I'm very happy with the output of the Auxbeam headlights. Brighter than stock halogens without being obnoxiously bright. As someone else mentioned, I adjusted the beam downward slightly. I also experienced slight interference with FM radio, but only for a few seconds and just that one time.

TundraTSS19, I respect your knowledge on this topic but I decided to return the fogs. Today was the last day for a free return anyway. I'll try the Sealight or Marsauto next and see how it goes. Good news is that I can access the fog lights from under the bumper, without removing anything. Probably because I don't have a skidplate.

Anyone have experience with either of these?

What was the issue with the auxbeam fog light bulbs?

See my previous post (#189). Couldn't get them to lock into place. Didn't want to force it.

I just installed AlphaRex Pro in mine so i am in the middle of replacing the halogen h-7 My GTR Ultra 2's are on the way. But as far as the Stock reflector housing i ran the S-v.4 in the low beam h-11 and cougar motor sports for the high beam both were absolutely awesome in the reflector housing. The cougars were like 40 bucks on Amazon and had no driver plug and play with no issues. The sv4 are a bit pricey but worth the money.

@TundraTSS19 Im trying to install these on my 2021 CM, but I can’t figure out how to get the rubber boot seal back on with the large rear part of these bulbs. Any suggestions?

You should be able to twist and separate the bulb from the mounting plate and then install boot first and then insert the bulb.

@TundraTSS19 Wait a sec, ok you’re talking about the plastic black ring right? So you use the existing wire clip to secure the black plate, install the boot, then insert the bulb? What holds the bulb in, friction from the small O ring around the bulb base? Doesn’t seem like much of the bulb protrudes inside the headlight housing?

@TundraTSS19 i think I’ve got it figured out, it twists once in place and locks into the black ring mounting plate? Is there a certain orientation of the heat sync housing that dictates the bulb top and bottom orientation? Sorry for all the questions, just had everything taken apart and thought I screwed up somehow and put everything back together. Just want to get my head on straight before I hit it again tomorrow.

If I remember correctly the reflector cup should be facing downward.

Guys, just got the AuxBeam headlight and fog lights installed. WOW. What a difference. I have to admit though, I did put them in upside down the first try because I was not paying attention! I fixed them yesterday and drove around last night when it got dark. Man, they are nice for sure! Very easy upgrade!

Just got your message. I have not been on the forum for a bit i have been slammed with stuff. I did not take any photos of the install but there are some around. I tried a few ways to start with until i figured out just what needed removed. Dont bother with the valance you will need to remove the front bumper its not that difficult. The cover that is between the bumper and the hood you can leave on but have to remove all the clips that attach it to the bumper. What you are trying to get to is the aluminum crash bar support. I put the light bar on the crash bar where i wanted it, mine is a 42" curved i got on ebay for 70 bucks. The curved will fit better than a straight. I wanted the 42" because i want all the valance slots to emit the light not light some of the small 24" jobs. Sit the light bar on top of the crash bar. I even held my bumper back on to make sure my alignment was right, then mark your mounting hole and pre-drill first then drill the appropriate size hole for what ever bolt you will be using. Myself i used a self tapping screw then bolt your light on and put your bumper back on. It took longer to figure out that i only needed to remove the bumper. The light has worked flawless for nearly a year so far and yes it will make people flash you. But i can see sooooo well. Here is the crash bar.

You only need to remove 52119A in the print. You mount the bar to top of aluminum crash bar 52131A

I did the LED bulb swap with the kit from Toy Tech. High and low beam. You can just loosen the housing up and slide the battery back a bit to get at it, then pull the bracket off on the washer fluid to get your hand in on the other one. Super bright, and I trust what those guys sell a bit more than Amazon, had some bad luck with China brands for interior leds. Ordered a set of the Sealight interiors and they have been great.

Put a set of less expensive Sealight brand in my wife's Lexus, they are not quite as bright, but about 1/2 the cost, I'll see how the durability stacks up.

Neither of them had any issues as far as being plug and play.

Just looking to get an upgrade on my truck- don’t know a whole ton about this stuff but looking to change to some nice LEDs all around. Something simple to install and good quality?

also- if I’m going to get a bumper with a light bar, will this also light up with the regular headlights? Just wondering if anyone has a suggestion on those as well!

    thanks

Depending on your state laws you will want the auxiliary switch option so you can turn the light bar on when you need it. Some states have a rule for how many lights you can run and at what candle power they put out. My light bar will light everything up so i only run it on the back roads or in dangerous weather and turn it off with on coming traffic as it will definitely blind them. I am also running the alpha rex led housings with the GTR Ultra 2 low beam which is like looking at the sun.
