My 2023 Platinum just started this week. Third week of ownership with only 800 miles on the clock.

    I'm a big man, 300. 5 ft 14 inches.

    certainly not acceptable!

The 22 Limited had the same problem but no issues with the 23 Plat.

Dealership also got me sorted after months of going back and forth between them and Toyota Corporate.

I believe the answer was a fixed released by Toyota. Before the dealership tried replacing some of the plastic covering of the seat ventilation. That actually made things worse. Then they tried something and that didn't work. Then Toyota came out with a bulletin and that fixed it. No issue since then.

Did your invoice / paperwork from the dealer have any reference to a bulletin put out by Toyota? I'm going through this battle right now and it has been an absolute joke.

Ugh...I gotta stop reading these threads. You guys are depressing me. I'm 6'4 and around 260#.

So far, my seats don't make any noises, but I've only put 132 miles on my 2023 1794.

My wife and I are going on a 17 hour roadtrip in a week. That should be a good test to see if Toyota has fixed this problem, or not.

6’ 2” 225 lbs. My seat back starting making noise at about 2k miles. Will have it fixed when I bring it in for 10k service.

Fortunately it isn't a super horrible problem, mainly an annoyance. Service manager at my local dealer tried to say that's how they all were, but when I got him to take a look at the new ones they had on the lot (awaiting pickup), none had the issue. I haven't fought it too hard but I did make the issue known fairly quickly. If/when Toyota issues guidance on the issue I'm hoping they will be able to fix it without the need to "try" a bunch of stuff.

I posted this in another thread about the seats creaking. Seats have been quiet for several months.

Mine have gone quiet also. I wonder if the 150 degree internal temperatures in the Texas heatwave have melted something.

My 1794 drivers seat would creak but after I sprayed some DuPont Silicone spray on the rods and white plastic clips the creaking is no longer noticeable. It’s been two months .

I had this issue by day 3 with my 2023 1794. Dealer ordered a upper seat assembly, waited 3 weeks for the part. After repair the sound was gone…..1 month later it’s back. I have chased more sounds and rattles in two months from this truck than anything else I have ever owned. Headliner, seatbelt, plastic cup holders, armrest, glovebox. I have to admit I am extremely disappointed in this truck. If I wouldn’t lose my butt at this point, I think I would get rid of it. Life is too short to live with aggravation. Toyota, you can do better than this. Rant over. I am new to the group, so sorry for being a negative Nancy .. I am going to take it to the dealer again.

this, but I used WD40 dry lube

shot down the headrest post hole as well.

silent and hasn’t come back ,

it’s the metal rod, plastic near the top of the seat beneath the head rest mounts , I unzipped the seat and hit this area and put a shot or two down the mount holes with the headrest removed

Dry lube doesn’t go away as fast as regular lube IMO

Everything I’ve read in both of these threads show it to be an issue with the driver’s seat only. To me, that points to lumbar specific issue since that’s the only difference. I tried LouALouA’s fix, and I think it might be a little bit quieter(?) but hard to tell. It’s definitely not gone. I think he’s onto the right area, but I’m not sure I’m getting enough of the lube in there. It’s hard to get your hand up that high by just unzipping it, and I’m not risking taking it apart. Hoping someone here posts a TSB number soon.

The top of the seat area is the hardest to get at. See picture in my original post. So I built a rig. I used the end of a pen, where the actual writing bit comes out. Attached that to fish tank tubing. Packed pen part with silicone based grease. Tyraped it to a popsicle stick. Tyraped the other end of popsicle stick to endoscope so I could see when pen part was directly at point which I wanted to lube. Then I blew through tubing to force grease at desired point. No seat disassembly was required. Seat has been completely quiet for six months and 5000 miles. upload_2023-10-27_12-15-53.jpg

2023 limited, January build date. I took delivery of the truck late on a Friday night and first noticed the drivers seat back popping and creaking when I got in it the next day. A couple months ago the wife and I were going somewhere and I said “check this out”, leaned back, and let her hear the loud creaking.
She said, I can do that too… she leaned back in the passenger seat and it was creaking too but not as bad as drivers side. I know there’s a bunch of stuff stuffed into those seats… heat, ventilation motors for seat adjustment. But this is unacceptable for a $60,000 vehicle.

Has anyone found out if there is a TSB on this issue yet? My local dealer replaced my driver seat and the new seat makes the exact same noise.

Took my 24 TRD Pro in today for some issues including seat having the same noise. They claimed it was jus the leather and not a problem. They had another TRD Pro on the lot. That seat did not make any noise. They told me to call on Monday with the service manager is back in. They seem to be very dismissive of the issue. I'm in for the long haul and will find a solution.

Dealer replaced my whole frame, noise still there. Regional rep came in and applied tons of dialectric grease, noise still there. Regional rep applied Velcro tape around metal rods and connectors while seat torn apart again, noise still there. Filed a claim with Toyota and letter stated they find no fault and are within the limits of the warranty. My wife refuses to ride in the truck now because the passenger side does it. Drivers side is so annoying that I get frustrated driving it. The regional rep said no permanent fix as of now and the band-aid fix is what the engineers at Toyota recommend. I’m shocked that after two years now the ‘22,’23, and ‘24 models are still having the issue. What has happened to Toyota quality? Oh, I had to have my rear tail lamp replaced 3 times due to particles and bugs being trapped inside housing, along with multiple rattles in the interior. I’m embarrassed to have occupants inside my $75k truck. And, it’s obvious Toyota corporate doesn’t care.

Mine creaks, too (6’3”). Service manager sat in 3 new ones on the lot and they all did it….chalked up as normal characteristic, at this point. There are a few things I’m on the list for, if any solutions are put out by Toyota for said issues. The gas gauge issue, seat creak, whistle above 55mph from outside mirror and rattling window.

    Lots of stuff!
My Limited doesn't have creaky seats or whistles,

I did have the gas gauge act up once. I know that fix isn't out yet. That will probably be out and ready right after the Gen 4's are launched :)

Just picked up my 2024 Platinum and have the same problem with less than 100 miles on it. Made an appointment at my local dealership to have it checked out.
