Well I had 2 different noises.

    this was one of them.

Yes so those mesh looking materials are sticking to foam padding.

I cut some packaging material replaced and it’s been a month. No sounds.

ok that’s another noise i had. you need to put padding between verticle springs on the very top. Need to unzip the seat.

Copy you! If it bugs me enough, I will open it up and take a look. Good to know what it is. Thank you for the insight on this.

I actually had 2 noises and even dealer couldn’t figure it out so I decided to unzip the back

if this doesn’t solve the issue. Let me know. I could guide you how to fix the other creaking noise when you are pushing the seat against it.

Sounds good! Love the truck and mine has actually been great knock on wood besides some minor things compared to others. I figured it was built during the covid time and Toyota couldn't source good quality materials. At least I want to think that. lol

Not only do both front seats squeak now, the driver seat button to extend the leading edge no longer works

here’s a solution (might be short term)

I’m having the same issue on my ‘23 1794 with 400 miles. I took it the dealer, the technician thinks it’s my be some of the ventilation system parts and will replace the parts but currently they are on back order, so…

Took it upon myself to unzip the seat, moved around some parts checking for squeaks and then I lightly sprayed those parts with WD40. It worked! For now… let’s see how long this fix last.

    Update…. Squeaking is back ‍

Someone else did this same thing a page or so back but it came back I think.

Toyota corporate is sending a field engineer out in a week to check mine.

How did you get Toyota Corporate to send out a field engineer? Hoping i can avoid having to go through the service dept at my dealership first.

    I'm special

I had taken it to service which is right next to corporate headquarters in Plano Texas and they were about to replace some parts but then corporate told them they wouldn't warranty it because what they were going to do would not fix it. I mentioned something to my friend who has a new sequoia and he has the same issue. He happens to be an employee of Toyota corporate so he sent a message to someone who contacted me. I have let that person know this is a known issue and mentioned this forum etc. So hopefully this will be a start or a culmination of issues to get it fixed for more than just me.

Update, the engineer looked today. They are ordering a new skeleton or something. They said the plastic in the lumbar was sort of shaved off and was rubbing against something. They think it was installed incorrectly originally. For now until they can get the part which is back ordered, they put foam and felt to keep it quiet in the short term.

I have a 2023 1794 and also have the seat creaking issue. It's coming from the drivers seat back, between my shoulders. I unzipped the seat back. I tried spritzing some WD in the locations pictured but it didn't quiet the creaking. I also tried tightening the plastic clips that those metal bars mount to, using tyraps. Didn't work either. While in the seat back I pulled on the seat fan assembly and could hear the creaking and feel the vibration which I believe is causing the creaking. Following the vibration with my finger tips as I pulled on the fan assembly. The vibration feels greatest from the top of those two metal bars. I can't get to the top mounting point for those bars without disassembling the seat. The Tundra is still under warranty and this is as far as I'm willing to go. I'm convinced the creaking emanates from where those two rods connect at the top of the seat. I don't see where they connect in the parts diagram. Item 9. But that's my two cents.

Don’t have this issue but I have “rattle-y” door switch panels which are especially evident when the bass notes hit. The JBl system is secent but shouldn’t be that good.

Also the mirrors rattle when closing doors.

Took my 1794 to the dealer because of the squeaky seat. They unzipped the back of the seat and determined that the noise was coming from the plastic clips. They applied some dielectric clear grease and the squeaking is totally gone. The tech mention that the grease would last much longer than using some liquid lubricant. All good for now but will see how long it lasts

I went back and wiped the WD off and instead lubed the metal rails with a clear silicon based grease. I moved the lumbar support up and down to work it in. I was able to move the fan slightly up and down with my hand. Used the grease from my automatic espresso machine. Takes heat and won't harm plastic. Some very sharp edges on the seat frame. I couldn't reach the very top of the rail mounts with my hand. I believe most of the creaking is coming from them rubbing with their mounts (717590). I offered a blood sacrifice, still no go. So I built a contraption in order to grease the rails above and below those mounts. I couldn't get grease inside the mount but maybe over time it will work its way there. Much quieter but not silent. Don't have time to take it to the dealer before my 1200 mile trip next week.

*Update: Grease must have made it into the upper mounts. Completely silent now. Going on a seven state 1200 mile drive next week. Will see if fix holds up.

Thanks for the update. My local dealer basically stopped answering calls from Toyota corporate after I opened up two different support tickets for this problem. I may have to print some of this out and bring it to them

I waited several weeks to take mine back a second time for the squeaky seat in hopes that Toyota would have a fix, but they still do not. The thigh extender stopped working after the first visit also. The dealer got the thigh extender to work again, but the next day it stopped working. Unfortunately, they opened another ticket on the squeaky seat, and Toyota said the dealer had done everything on the first visit and that there was nothing else to do. The dealer said to check in with them on the next service in 5k miles. I jumped on this to see if anyone has found a permanent fix. Very disappointed that they haven't been able to figure this out.

    Did your repair stick?

I've been chasing rattles creaks and whistles since I got this truck. Center console lid rattle (no fix from Toyota at this time), driver speaker and door rattles (two fix attempts - missing insulation tape and material in a couple of places - all good for now), high-speed whistle over 75mph, and back seats rattle when going over bumps.

I'm on my last leg with my patience for this thing and Toyota in general. Unbelievable on a $74k MSRP truck. Truck that is otherwise pretty great imo.

I must say though, Mountain States Toyota has been amazing with their willingness to help.

Re creaky/stuttery seats - they attempted two fixes now. The first one involved tape and felt and was amazing while it lasted - for about a week. After that back to creaks from the back support. They reached out Toyota corporate and the official word is no fix at this time. Their local Toyota corporate guy (unsure of the proper title) allowed them to attempt another fix (they apparently can't bill Toyota for multiple attempts to fix the same thing). The below is what they did - hope this helps someone else. It's been only a few days but so far so good. Really keeping my fingers crossed but will post an update if anything changes.

Thanks to @LoaALoaA, I applied the silicone to my 3 week old ‘23 1794 and it worked like a charm. My seat is whisper quiet now.

Having noise issues as well. Sounds just like everyone here describing. I did my first maintenance on the 23 TRD/1794 and service said there was no bulletin on the issue. I was told there is nothing they can do at this point?

Shouldn't this be taken care of under warranty.... BTW.. Passenger seat does the same,,, just have to push back a bit and the noise is there.

    Hoping this gets resolved soon.

Mine was quiet for a couple of weeks after applying silicone, but the squeaks/creaks have come back even louder and now my bottom seat frame is creaking as well. Dealer ordered a whole new seat frame, but said the back lumbar portion of the frame is on back order. There must be a ton of owners with this issue and my fear is that the frame replacement is a temporary band aid unless modifications and/or reinforcements have been made. It sucks because other than a couple of minor interior rattles, I like the truck but anyone who rides with me is quick to note the unpleasant sounds of my seat. It’s sad to see Toyota quality now on par with the domestics.
