I remember what my biggest grip was with my '07 DC. The amount of air put out to floor vents (when on floor only) is pathetic.

This is an issue in every single vehicle I've ever owned.

Actually I have owned a few GM trucks and one Dodge, all 90's. I never had any vent issues in any of them.

I was wondering about that. I have a DC and it doesn't have any vents back there.

My 07 vented quite well on my feet. My 14 does too.

I checked mine today and it has 7, each one just barely blowing stronger than the previous one. It feels like it only blows noticeably stronger when switching from the lowest to the strongest.

I've owned my 2011 Tundra for about 2 weeks now, here are my small gripes. I came from a 2020 Civic so it's been quite a change

    - No buttons on the steering wheel
    - MPG (obviously going from 35mpg to maybe 14mpg)
    - No foglights
    - No distance to empty
    - Frame rust

Honestly, the frame rust is the only one that truly bothers me. I can live without the rest, they're more of a preference than a necessity. The MPG is the cost I pay to be in a safer vehicle that should last me for years and years. Otherwise, I love this truck.

Yea. If there s a bit of sun shining the clock is useless. It s virtually invisible. It needs to a lot brighter...I wonder if there s a fix for that:monocle:

My 86, 89 Toyota and 82 Datsun pickups all had excellent and sturdy vents. The Tundra's are very flimsy and cheap feeling by comparison.
None of my 60's, 70's or 80's domestic trucks even had vents. :p

You mean auto off, or auto on when you hit remote?? My 07 has auto off. Not the latter though.

The only vents to the back on my 07 DC are under each front seat.

It didn't seem to difficult to remove on mine with the 4.7 but then I was taking it off along with other things off while doing the timing belt.

I wasn't really aware of any vents back there but then I never really spend any time in the back seats.

A vid about alternator change on a 5.7. I ended up having shop do it, and was happy to pay em.

I would guess the most ever least liked feature would be not having the 5.7L.......................................:duh:

I mean, lights on when it gets dark. Lights off when it's light out or when the car is shut off.

Thats what I've done too. It'd just be nice to not have them on 24/7. If nothing else, its nice to have the radio/etc dim at night. I've got an aftermarket radio coming and I'm worried it's going to be an issue with brightness settings. Time will tell.

Looks to be about 3 hours and $200 to add the option using the parts from a model that has the feature.

Yep>>> Should be 2nd gen 07 to 13 and 2nd gen part deux 14 to 21. I don't post on "what I did to my 3rd gen today" because it's not out yet.....it's impossible

Side bar derail>>>What's going to happen when the 3rd gen comes out? Are we going to have a "What did you do to your 4th gen today?" thread :monocle::anonymous:

So what happened between 2013, and 2014 to cause the split in the first place?

Mid-gen refresh. Tundra is still on the same XK50 platform started in 2007.

Toyota did the same thing with the 5th gen 4Runner. It started in 2010 and got a facelift in 2014. Still 5th gen though.

I'm glad someones does. Cross your fingers your floor vent actuator shaft doesn't brake/snap. No heat on feet and not pleasant to have fixed.

I rarely ever use the floor vents. Not too worried.
